The Town Hall of Amberg (Rathaus Amberg) is one of the city’s most iconic buildings, located right at the heart of the old town square. While its current form reflects centuries of evolution, its origins go back to the 14th century, when the first city hall stood on this site. After a devastating fire in 1356, a new building was constructed, and over time it was expanded and modified.
The structure we see today is a harmonious blend of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The western section, with its ornate gable and signature exterior staircase and balcony, dates back to the Middle Ages. The so-called "New Town Hall", added in the 1570s, includes the Renaissance-style council chambers and the old city archive beneath.

wir warten nun seit über fünf Monaten auf die Ausstellung der Geburtsurkunde unserer Tochter. Sämtliche erforderlichen Unterlagen wurden vollständig und fristgerecht eingereicht.
Heute war ich erneut persönlich bei Ihnen vor Ort, um mich nach dem aktuellen Stand zu erkundigen. Dabei wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass ein Dokument bisher nicht überprüft wurde – obwohl uns zuvor von Ihrer Mitarbeiterin versichert wurde, dass alle Unterlagen vorliegen und wir kontaktiert würden, sollte noch etwas fehlen.
Leider ist dies nicht geschehen, und wir haben heute nur durch eigene Nachfrage erfahren, dass sich die Bearbeitung dadurch weiter verzögert – voraussichtlich um weitere ein bis zwei Monate.
