Musikcafe Amadeus — Restaurant in Amberg

I am not one to write reviews. But as an American and one who has lived in Texas I feel it's my duty to warn anyone off thinking they'll get decent TexMex. They were featured in a YouTube video of an American showing spots in Amberg to try and we thought if an American endorses the TexMex food we should try.

Let's start with the most important thing. A Mexican restaurant with mo margaritas. They have some great cocktails, and all the ingredients for a margarita, but no margaritas... Strike one.

Strike two. Chips and salsa- the "tortilla chips" were clearly reheated Doritos with the tiniest cup of salsa I've ever seen.

Strike three. Food- I ordered the chimichanga. It came with a salad and garlic bread as a side. No rice and beans. Then the chimichanga. Chunks of chicken, carrots, and a light cheese.

For those looking for Tex-Mex look elsewhere. The drink menu (minus lack of margarita), service, and atmosphere were all fine. Don't go if you're looking...

The restaurant is great, they offer great service and a variety of options. They have a menu that offers Mexican food. We are from South east TX, my wife is from SoCal and she is Hispanic. We are familiar with great food. This is not Hispanic food if that's what your seeking. It is a Tex Mex style sort of fusion is best way to describe it. If you are looking for Tex Mex this is a good option as it is close and what they offer is excellent. There nachos are abundant and flavorful, the enchiladas have one that is a veggie on the mixed platter and its surprisingly good. The "skillet" meals are great. If you're looking for Tex Mex this is as close as you will find within 100 km, and I have been to dozens of places in TX that are not near as good as this place. Ich gebe 5 Sterne für das Amadeus. Wir waren schon ein paarmal da, die Familie geht gerne hin und liebt das Essen. Im Sommer sitzt man so schön draußen hinter der Martinskirche. Gefällt mir gut 😊 Und vor ca 20 Jahren gab es mal eine feuchtfröhliche Faschings Dienstag Nacht, die im Amadeus endete. Gutes dunkles Bier und dann so einige Captain Morgan blieben mir gut in Erinnerung 😂 Das Amadeus gehört zu Amberg, man kennt es 👍🏼

Kürzlich war ich in Gesellschaft abends zum Essen dort. Dann doch nicht den großen Hunger, blätterte ich durch die Karte. Das Angebot ist reichhaltig und es gibt viele mexikanische Gerichte, Tacos 🌮, Fajitas, … Salate, kleine Speisen, verschiedene Getränke und Cocktails 🍹 Für jeden was dabei.

Da ich gerne Suppen esse und Tagessuppe in der Karte steht, fragte ich danach. Asiasuppe hieß es, okay dann mal probieren. Als sie serviert wurde, war ich doch leicht irritiert und fragte nach. So lernte ich, dass eigene Rezepturen kreiert werden und das ist Suppe „Asia a la Amadeus“. Muss sagen, fand ich sehr lecker. Hackfleisch mit Kartoffelstückchen, reichhaltig mit Suppe. Und einem leichten Asiageschmack und einer leichten angenehmen Schärfe im Abgang. Meiner Gesellschaft schmeckte ihr Essen ebenso lecker und kennen das Amadeus auch schon länger. Tacos hatte ich bei früheren Besuchen auch schon verspeist. Sehr lecker 🤤

Das Amadeus Team ist immer freundlich und gut gelaunt. Man fühlt sich wohl. Die Einrichtung und Innenausstattung gefällt mir gut. Hat was Uriges, sehr schön.

Dann gibt es unterschiedliche Bereiche. Lässt sich überall schön sitzen. Die Treppchen rauf in den oberen Bereich mag ich am liebsten. Preis/Leistung passt,...
