Very interesting, a nice combination between antique and modern. At 12.00 noon we had the opportunity to enjoy a live session where a musician played the instruments Bach played in his lifetime. Such as the front facing organ, the harpsichord, the spinnet (a small harpsichord), the clavichord, and a 2 person organ (the player and the person pumping the air with a foot pedal). I was amazed at how big his personal theological library was. Really interesting. The modern part of the museum had 70's style egg seats hanging from the ceiling, an ideal cocoon to enjoy the music. It is not a huge place but it can keep you occupied for a while. They also have a coffee and cake place.

This is one of the best museums I have been to. The curator demonstrated several instruments during a twenty minute talk. This was followed by a wander through the living area of the Bach family, interesting enough but nothing special. What is special is the room upstairs with relaxing seats where you can listen on headphones to various examples of Bach's music and then there are a range of short videos explaining different aspects of Bach's music and some episodes from his life. For anybody interested in music, this room will be one of the best rooms you have ever been in. Well worth travelling halfway across Europe just for this room.

You don’t need to join a tour to visit Bach house. They have a well organized route for visiting, and displays have information in English. They also organize 20 minute music presentation to show you how the ancient pianos work. This presentation is included in the ticket. In this house, there are many instruments used Bach, and many bibles of that era probably read by Bach as well. The souvenir shop is kind of small, but it’s all about music and Bach. You may find T-shirts, music box, CDs, stationeries, etc. Parking is very convenient as well, they have a parking lot that you can park by meters.

It is a historic building that served as the birthplace and early home of the renowned composer Johann Sebastian Bach.

The museum offers visitors an opportunity to explore the life, work, and musical legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach. It provides a comprehensive overview of his life through various exhibits, displays, and interactive elements.

Inside the Bach House, you can see authentic artifacts, manuscripts, and personal belongings associated with Bach and his family. The museum aims to create an immersive experience by showcasing the living conditions and cultural context in which Bach grew up.

Visitors can explore reconstructed rooms that reflect the living environment of the Bach family, including the room where Bach was born. There are also audio and video installations that allow you to listen to Bach's compositions and learn more about his musical techniques and innovations.

In addition to the permanent exhibits, the Bach House organizes temporary exhibitions, concerts, lectures, and workshops to further enhance the understanding and appreciation of Bach's music.

The museum is not only a destination for music enthusiasts but also for those interested in history and cultural heritage. It provides valuable insights into the life of one of the most influential composers in Western classical music and his significant contributions to the Baroque period.

Located in Eisenach, the Bach House is in close proximity to other attractions such as the Wartburg Castle and the Luther House, making it a popular destination for tourists interested in exploring the rich history and cultural heritage...
