If you enjoy modern architecture then ths is one of the highlights of Stuttgart - a village on a hill a short light rail ride from the city centre which was effectively an exposition in the very best modern architecture from the 1920s. Some of the houses have been demolished but the remainder are very well preserved and include buildings designed by Miles van der Rohe and Le Corbusier. The beautiful Le Corbusier house is now a museum which provides information about walking tours to see the other houses from the original...

“A 1927 house which never dated and still able to inspire” Have read about Le Corbusier house in architecture books many times before and it's great that I could finally visit it during the trip to Stuttgart. The house in fact is one of the work in a village of houses with similar minimalists design by the architects in the same era. To me, the ideas/design of Le corbusier house have certainly had great impacts upon the design of buildings in the past 50 years. This is a must see for people who are into...

It’s always a pleasure to discover a Corbusier’s project, but when you share the emotion with a nice and prepared guide is even more fantastic. The gentleman upstairs on the right side of the building show me with joy and passion LC’s project, talking about material, colors and space and the Bauhaus history and much much more. I apprehended a lot I had no words to explain my gratitude. Then I run to see all the beautiful district around with all the other architectures he introduced me. Thanks a lot 🙏🏼...

Very interesting visit and exhibition. Made me think that 100 hundred years ago we were exiting an undeceivable horror and it was an epoch of great expectations. The “roaring 20s”. We spectacularly trashed the chance and plunged into more horrors. Do we ever learn? Is it in our DNA to fail so ? So many assonances with the current times. Visiting the Weissenhof today pairs the great exhibit at the Guggenheim in Bilbao on the 20s.

Amazing Place with Deep Connections to Design History 👏🏼 Such a beautiful and inspiring experience! The site has strong ties to the houses in Dessau, Weimar, and Brno, which made the visit even more meaningful. My family and I truly loved exploring this gem at the top of Stuttgart. The Weissenhof Museum is a must-see for anyone interested in architecture and modernist design👌🏼
