Hellenic Children’s Museum (HCM) — Attraction in Athens

Unfortunately, I could not give more stars as they didn’t let us in. First of all, very difficult to find the place. I have read others commenting as well not easy to find because there are no signs and it’s true. One map shows on one road the other map shows on an other road. Some police guys helped me to finally get there. Please note if you are going alone and you have a stroller there are lots of stairs to get up there. Once we got up, the main door was closed. One lady opened and told me my son wouldn’t be allowed as it’s only from 3 years old as they have to wear masks. When I said I didn’t find any information on the website regarding the measurements she said it was posted in the ‘News’ section. As something so important like this should be front page where everyone can see it. And then she said anyways you have to book an appointment. As I looked inside it was empty. 11 o’clock and I didn’t see one kid. Many families were waiting outside. Looked very nice and organized. I love the idea of the place I wish we were allowed to get in. When I expressed my disappointment to the lady that it was hard to find, no information on the website etc she said I know, we are working on it! So work a little bit harder and at least you could have said sorry. Σήμερα 18 Μαίου 2024 επισκευτηκαμε εξωτερικως,δυστυχώς, το ελληνικό παιδικο μουσείο. Είχαμε κλείσει θέση για το πρόγραμμα των 13:30-14:30 από την Τρίτη 14 Μαίου όπου η κυρία που συνομίλησα στο τηλέφωνο με διαβεβαίωσε ότι μπορουμε να επισκεφτούμε τον εσωτερικό χώρο του μουσείου από τις 11.00 το πρωί και να παίξουν τα παιδιά μου με τα παιχνίδια του μουσείου μέχρι τις 12:45, διότι το μουσείο κάνει εκείνη την ώρα διάλειμμα για 30 λεπτά και στις 13:15 να μπούμε να παρακολουθήσουμε το πρόγραμμα που είχαμε κάνει κράτηση. Την ρώτησα,καθώς δεν έχουμε επισκευτεί ξανά το μουσείο, πόση ώρα είναι αρκετή για τα παιδιά να παίξουν στο μουσείο πριν το πρόγραμμα και μου απάντησε ότι αυτό εξαρτάται από το ενδιαφέρον του εκάστοτε παιδιού. Έτσι λοιπόν στις 11:50 πμ βρισκόμασταν στην είσοδο του ελληνικού παιδικού μουσείου. Δεν μπορέσαμε να μπούμε όμως διότι μας ενημέρωσαν ότι δεν επιτρέπεται η είσοδος για ελεύθερο παιχνίδι εντός του μουσείου και θα έπρεπε να περιμένουμε απ' έξω έως τις 13:15 που θα άνοιγε το μεσημεριανό πρόγραμμα που είχαμε κάνει κράτηση. Η κυρία Λαμπαδαριου που βρισκόταν στην είσοδο του μουσείου μου είπε ότι έχω κάνει λάθος και ΑΥΘΑΊΡΕΤΑ έφερα τα παιδιά μου να παίξουν νωρίτερα στον εσωτερικό χώρο του μουσείου. Θα μπορούσαν όμως να παίξουν στην λήξη του προγράμματος δηλαδή μετά τις 14:30. Λυπάμαι που δεν ρώτησα το όνομα της κυρίας που μίλησα το πρωί της Τρίτης,που μου αφιέρωσε το χρόνο της,την ευγένεια της αλλά δυστυχώς και τις λάθος πληροφορίες της. Αυθεραιτα λοιπόν δεν αναχωρεί μια τετραμελής οικογένεια από τον Άλιμο για να περιμένει στον εξωτερικό,αδιάφορο και παραμελημένο χώρο του συγκεκριμένου μουσείου για μιάμιση ώρα! Παρακαλώ θερμά να υπάρχει συνεννόηση την επόμενη φορά μεταξύ των υπαλλήλων του μουσείου και οι πληροφορίες να έχουν συνέπεια και ορθότητα. Ευχαριστώ την πόλη μου,που σε κοντινή απόσταση είχε άλλα ενδιαφέροντα μουσεία που επισκευτηκαμε άμεσα και χωρίς αναμονή. Με εκτίμηση σε όλους σας και ας μην είχαμε την χαρά να επισκεφτούμε τον εσωτερικό χώρο...
