Very good for families with children- the sea is calm so even the very little ones can swim and enjoy, local supermarkets, restaurants and even a small surgery are all within a few minutes' walk distance. Lovely views to Greek mainland. The only negative is that if there is a large cruising ship or a large ferry near the Greek coastline, you may get some dirt in the sea around Benitses the next day. Good thing is also an easy bus route to Kerkyra or by a car it is just about 25min. Read moreA nice an quiet beach, we stayed nearby and it was great for the lazy mornings. Not as spectacular as the west side beaches but it's perfect for a relaxing time and for children. There is almost no sand, but the pebbles are really small and they are comfortable to walk on. The water is crystal clear and warm, my little daughter (1 and a half years old) had a really great time and enjoyed the water and the beach. Just turn up and find a spot on the beach and the sunbeds and parasoles are free if you buy a drink or eat from whatever restaurant is opposite.
