Ether — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Let me just start by saying, the atmosphere and the restaurant area was amazing. It is an outdoor seating area with music and cocktails what more would you want! However, I am currently writing this review at 3:10am due to the fact I have been throwing up all night and been on the toilet due to my food that I ate here. The food was so poor, I ordered a pizza and it honestly looked like it had been brought from the shop down the road and heated up. Not to mention it was tasteless. The service was terrible, I am no expert in the hospitality industry, only working in the industry for 1 year and a half, however it took them 10 minutes to bring us menus before we even sat down, because the young server and the young lady where talking at the bar. They didn’t feel very welcoming at all. At no point did anyone come over to check on our food until we had finished it all! My girlfriend also ordered a prosciutto pizza, again looked like they had bought a margarita pizza and then had put prosciutto on top of it (which wasn’t even cooked). Easily best cocktail bar in Corfu! An absolute must visit! This was such an incredible find! An amazingly relaxed atmosphere with cool music playing in the background. Live DJ and violinist. Not to mention the food available. Well executed and thoughtfully presented. Ask yourself how many ‘cocktail bars’ have you been to where you have been severely disappointed because the staff didn’t look like they wanted to be there and they actually didn’t care about the cocktail they are making of the experience they were giving. On my trip to Corfu last year I visited Ether on the first evening of my stay with my partner and a couple of friends for a few cocktails. In short, they were the best cocktails we had on the island after going to a few different spots in the following days, we decided there was no better place to go. We found ourselves leaning towards Ether as the default option for an evening out because of the cocktails first and the impeccable Vibes second. Which are also, second to none! By the end of the trip we went there for coffees and omelettes in the morning (spot on!), beers in the afternoon and cocktails in the evening. Stavros, Dimitri and Mihali make the place what it is aside from just the quality of drinks and food!
