La Pergola Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

The hospitality of the owner is very questionable - I will even say HORRIBLE! The way he treated my friends and me was so unpleasant that I left with my blood pressure so high as we sat down and he came to us and showed us with his hands and whistle to stand up with words table has to be free for I am not sure what reason as there was no queue. He said you have to leave - in which universe customer service works that way? Even night before when we got the table he treated us very poor but slightly better - we wanted to go back to maybe improve impression as food was good but he completely ruined our night on vacation! It felt like he has something against three women having nice view, even workers were running around so stressed. When I asked why is he so rude they just looked at me with a sad eyes! Nobody deserves to be treated that way, I feel sorry for women working there. The way he treated his customers was feeling like bullying - I don’t even want to know how people working there are feeling. The quality of food CAN NOT IMPROVE THE MAIN THING IS CUSTOMER SERVICE - PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE AND EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED THE SAME WAY WITH A RESPECT! Also, waiting for the food first day when we got the table was 45 min, which was way to long, and with all the treatment I would say it was the worst experience ever!!! As someone working in customer service in international environment I wouldn’t consider ever coming to this place again! It doesn’t even deserve one star. Treatment is not how human beings and especially customer experience experts should talk. Professionalism is not a word they are...

Just gracefully walk past it and never look back, visit something next to it. We only came here, because the place next to it was closed. Ridiculously underwhelming, poor choices of drinks, cannot communicate in English and if you order something they override it if they don't actually have what you ordered, without asking, of course. Rude waitress with bad attitude. Poor experience. EDIT: You didn’t have to point out that you are a restaurant in order for us to order food, because we started our order with a few pizzas before choosing the drinks. The waitress rather rudely urged us to decide already, even though only two other tables were occupied out of the fair number available in the restaurant, and she most definitely didn’t speak fluent English, as she failed to catch what I said several times before finally understanding me. Even then, she brought something other than what I ordered because you didn’t have what I specifically asked for. Pointing out that you are a restaurant and we were only looking for drinks isn’t really a good defence, in my opinion, because the pizzas were mediocre at best. Think twice before you choose this place if the owner is having a bad day he will kick you out… We came after a stormy day 4 of us from a Group of 6 to take Home some food as we saw they are packing the pizza’s. After they took the order of all the other tables around us who came later the owner came to us. We asked if we can take away the food he said no I asked not even the pizza which they were constantly packing in front of us. He said no people waiting for the tables he took away the menu and said he has a hard day good bye and kicked us out in front of everyone because I asked to take away (my grandma and aunt been waiting home for the food sorry I wanted to take away) if I sit down you bring me a food and I go away we finish faster you give the table I pay the food everybody happy but no you made the most disrespectful moment of our stay. Even if you have a hard day we came to put money in your pocket plus we were kind in exchange you were arrogant and stressed. It’s my 6th time in Corfu worst place...
