Big Bite — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

Number 1 on our favourite restaurants list for Benitses. We eat here on two occasions, the first time we had olives, tzatziki and oven feta for starter. I had the beef stifado for main, my partner had the Greek salad. We had 0.5l of their house red wine which comes in a chilled bucket, different to what we are used to be with the warm weather it goes well. The starters were all excellent and the beef stifado is as good as you will get anywhere in Greece, my partner also said the Greek salad was great. The second time we went there I had the Patisada and my partner had the white fish (cannot remember the name now) again both were excellent. We pigged out a bit this night and also had deserts. I had the Oreo cheesecake, which was homemade and tasted amazing, the only problem was it was huge, and I struggled to finish it. The Oreo cheesecake can easily be shared between 2 and maybe even 3. My partner had some oven feta baked in pastry with honey and cream cheese on top, which is a starter, but we had it as desert, this was also fantastic and again could easily be shared between 2. 5 Stars for customer service, 4.5 stars for the food (0.5 because they don’t make traditional Greek potatoes or Lamb Kleftiko, but everything we did order was fantastic). They also do not accept credit card payment which actually stopped us being able to go back here for a 3rd time on...

Leaving this review as a note for who reads it. I've came to this place after being on the road for 19 hours, and was interested in a take away souvlaki. The staff is top noch and polite, i've asked, at full house diner time how much time do i have to wait for my food and thei said it will take only 10-15 minutes, please take note that i didnt ask for any rush on the food or staf, just made a frendly joke how qucick cand a take away be taken away. 15 minutes pass by and my food was ready, as i am pleased with the service and all the location implyes, i've tipped with a 35% tip(and i don't regret this), however once i arived and wanted to enjoy my meal, the chicken was undercooekd and not edible, anything else was great, chips, sauce, zest dressing. I don't usualy leave this kind of reviews, however, this being a respectabel family business,...

Had drinks and lunch one day and thought it was a lovely location. Slow service..but maybe we were unlucky.

We went back again for a beach day on their sunbeds. Service really poor. You need to physically go find a staff member as they hang around around inside and never come out to see if you'd like service. What's that about? Chips for lunch first day were delicious so we ordered them as an extra with the lasagna. They were dry and overcooked and when we mentioned it to staff at the end (no one to be seen while we were eating) he argued they were not. Better places near by for beach access, service, food...
