This place is probably the second most overrated attraction in Corfu, right after the Canal of Love, near Sidari. The small piece of white pebble beach looks beautiful. Simply beautiful, nothing spectacular. Nothing worth spending hours among thousands of people on just a few hundred square meters of beach. Most of them are influencers who just dip their feet in the water and make faces in the front of their cameras on their smartphones for their Instagram or TikTok channels. This is a great example of why not to follow the advice of influencers, because they just take a few photos of themselves and move on in search of more selfies in other places. They don't understand anything about beauty and natural things. This place might be good to visit probably in September or October. Rovinia is a overcrowded place with a lack of parking spaces. Access by car is through narrow streets and it is really difficult to avoid other cars coming from other directions. There are a few parking spaces along the street (5 euros per day), but most of the last few hundred meters are not paved and you have to be careful not to cut your tire on sharp rocks along the way. If you like places with terrible car access, trash around, narrow and steep paths and really really cold water in the middle of August, enjoy, I would rather avoid this place in the middle of summer. Read moreThe beach is actually beautiful and the water cold and clear blue/turquoise. The rocks on the left side create a dramatic atmosphere and the view towards the sea is lovely. Better park at Liapades and then 5-8 minute walk. You start from the grey stairs opposite of the mini market and just follow the yellow marks. If you are used to walking/hiking this is super easy. Have in mind of a narrow path at some points but nothing difficult. There are stairs to reach the beach. The negatives are the huge amount of people, you are literally right next to each other, many smokers, some play their own music and unfortunately you will find plenty of cigarettes in the sand. Also sad to say that walking to reach the beach you will see rubbish at some spots. The beach relaxes after 19:00 a little and you can enjoy better the scenery. Surely in peak season as August it is not a quiet beach. Make sure to have your own umbrella if you are not a sun person. The rocks on the left create shade but you might not find a free spot. There is a small boat that comes and goes selling drinks. Fun fact - I went for a swim and upon my return I found a cat sleeping on my towel. Lives on the beach,...
Read moreThe beach is beautiful, small pebbles and beautiful clear water. Quite a walk down to the beach, though.
It is not as quiet and empty as a lot of websites make it seem. It got really crowded in the afternoon, even during covid times.
Even though the beach is beautiful we will not be coming back. To get there you have to drive down a quite steep dirt and gravel "road". It is very narrow and except for a few places it's impossible for 2 cars to pass each other. Where the proper road meets the dirt road there is quite a big difference in height so if you have a very low car you might damage it, our car barely made it. The road has a lot of deep holes and big stones, be careful not to bust a tire here. The parking "area" costs 3€.
Because of the road we will not be coming back, we have a new car and I'm too afraid to damage it here. If you're not worried about...
