Farmers House — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

This place was always so welcoming and pleasant to visit. Fast and attentive staff is here for your needs. The mediterranean menu is rich with any dishes for your taste, from greek cuisine, such as souvlaki, salads with feta, local fish to something common like soups, pizza and pasta.

All the meals are great in taste and fresh. Sometimes it is better to order partially. For instance, the greek salad is a giant plate that can be too much for one and it would be wise to take it for 2. The example is on the photo. You can take away the rest of food in a box they will hive you if you ask.

What would I recommend to try? Well, we are in Greece, so try something local: Greek salad, Creetan Salad, the fish of the day, lamb meat with tomatoes (I forgot its name, sorry).

Also, they serve nice selection of drink, including cooled beer in iced glasses. Loved it.

There are many places to sit, so it would be great for singles and a group of friends. They have greek music here, so the atmosphere is fine.

We stayed in the apartments next to it so we frequented the restaurant several times, trying different dishes and having a blast. The dinner time is always busy and it might happed that you have to wait just a bit for your order, but the food you receive in the end is worth the wait. It's so delicious and the portions are big. For a big foodie as I am, this was amazing. The staff is so pleasant with a smile and they even remember you when you come back. The sweetest touch at the end of the meal when you call for your bill is ouzo and some fruit on the house, to sweeten your meal. Very cozy restaurant, server we had was a bit too much and pushy. Food was delicious and the restaurant is cozy. Their lamb is especially amazing. We went a second time at the end of our stay on Crete. Server was all over the place, she was trying to push dishes even when we had ordered, she seemed almost drunk or something. And when I went to pay they tried to charge 109€ instead of 64€ I’m happy I caught it because the guy behind the counter seemed confused when I asked why it was so high.
