I came to eat here with a group of 8 other friends, all about 19 years old.
This food was delicious. For me, particularly the starter was, for me, the best starter I've ever had before a meal. Admittedly I haven't been to big bucks fancy restaurants but still, it was completely delicious. I had Saganaki, graviera cheese dipped in flour and some seeds I don't remember the name of and pan-fried. It was served with a slice of lemon to drizzle over it, and my GOODNESS it was delicious. It's like a cheese toasty except better in every way.
Main course was pork schnitzel. Before me was a big, dense slab of pork in breadcrumbs and a lemon coupled with a pile of long thick, crispy chips and while the starter was still my favourite part of the meal, it was very very good. I'm from England where we get thick chips but they're quite soft. I'm much more a fan of chips that are thick and crispy all at once.
All the while, we were being served by who I assume to be the owner of the restaurant. He was a delightfully friendly and funny man (I guess you have to be if you own/run a restaurant but it's still enjoyable) and made the experience that bit better. I'm sure we may have got more attention than most since there was nine of us but he was a lovely man nonetheless. Plus, he had two very very cute dogs which we got to say hello to which for me is a very big bonus!
Finished up with some particularly strong raki and nice chocolate bites on the house. Was really tasty and we're definitely planning to go there...
Read moreWe've eaten at a few amazing restoraunts so far in the area, which all had delicious food and this was still a standout. The food is incredible - the metaphor that came to mind was "imagine if your grandma was a professional chef".
All the best parts of a home-cooked meal and restaurant food, paired with kind and friendly service staff and the typical (and always amazing) Greek hospitality, that never lets you leave a restaurant without a complementary dessert/drink.
We didn't see the pictured cats (2 black&white ones passed through the background for a moment), but we did meet the dogs and I have never seen more well-behaved animals in my life.
They don't bark, bother customers or beg for food, yet are extremely friendly (approached for pets when I called them as we were leaving) and even well-behaved around a customer's dog, only responding when it approached them and with nothing but gentle play.
Can't recommend the place enough, if you're nearby, definitely make sure you put aside an evening or few for a meal there and try some traditional Greek food, you won't be...
Read moreUnusual and surprising restaurant. Why unusual? Tables are located around swimming pool on the hotel patio. Why surprising? Food from the menu is ready to surprise you! Surprise with composition of tastes, colors, amount (someone out there in the kitchen understands that restaurant is not about being greedy) and ideas. Big plus for color marks on food for non meat eaters! Just to sum up: classics but prepared in a modern and not heavy way. Big plus for four legged (pawed?) part of the personel! All three dogs are making sure that nobody does not feel abandoned during the evening. Chase for the cat from neighborhood was simply hilarious! Why not five stars? It's for the human part of the personel. I do not know the reason but there are evenings when waiting time for the table can be long (despite reservation), waiting time for ordered food can be long and waiter can simply forget about your food. As a result your diner can be...
