We were staying all inclusive up the road and wanted to get to a nice sandy beach for our kids. We walked along the sea front, past the first one that was bigger but pressed on and found this one. It's smaller but the bay is fantastic, with a gentle slope that is great for children as they don't get out of their depth too quickly. We paid €16 for four sunbeds and two umbrellas for the day, which were good value and vital given how hot it was. We didn't eat at the cafe but it had a good selection of food and drink and did good business. A few other traders visited, selling fruit and fantastic doughnuts, but they weren't intrusive. There's is also a shower and WC, though we didn't use either. I'd fully recommend it, but don't forget to take water, sunscreen and sandals because the sand was scorching!

We stayed in the area for 1 week in the end of July and went to Iguana beach daily, since we really enjoyed the location and service. There are really comfortable sun beds with thick mattresses and nice umbrellas. One set of 2 sun beds + umbrella costs 20 euros and at the front row same set costs 25 euros. Beach has nice cafeteria with big variety of beverages, ice creams, freshly squeezed juices and brewed coffees. You can also have a salad or a sandwich in case you need to have a bigger snack. Beach is located in the harbor, which helps is to maintain the “wave free” conditions even during windy days. Waters are not too shallow though so small kids might need some protective gear for swimming. Some entrepreneurs are bringing fresh donuts and fruit salads to the beach couple of times per day.

Loved this beach. We arrived one morning at 7am after an overnight ferry and it was the perfect spot. Coffee and drinks from the cafe were great and we got a sun lounger for the day. Front row was €25 but cheaper for the rows behind. Later in the week we returned and although we started on the beach next door, we returned to Iguana because the waves were much smaller and with smaller kids we couldn't relax with them in the water. This is a great chilled spot for swimming and sunbathing with cafe and toilets on hand. On top of that, the sunset from the top of the little rock with the church on next to the beach was absolutely beautiful

Where do I start!!! First of all the beach by far is picturesque but once you start to swim in it you get bombarded with fish biting on your leg etc. The icing on the cake though wasn't the fish biting your flesh it was a sun umbrella attendant who works for Iguana beach bar who would have a different rate (ταρίφα) depending on when you came from!!! So he'd first sus you out and fish around and ask you "where you're from" and then charge "accordingly"!! How I know this? I saw him charge someone who came from Germany 12 euro and my family 15 per set. So when I confronted him he basically said to me that that's the way it is. Because I make heaps of money and other people from other countries make lesser!!! So people I'm not telling you not to go to the beach but I'm giving you a heads up and avoid the...
