Disgusting service - from the parking, through the bar, to the beach area. We went there after a short stroll around Heraklion and attempted to park our car. The guy from the parking shouted very aggressively at the friend who drove our car and didn’t allow him to park because we - the rest of the group - were carrying our own umbrellas and waited aside for him to park. Our friend explained patiently that he would like to just park and then inform us that we must leave the umbrellas in the car which didn’t help as the guy was still nervously running and screaming around. When we heard the noise, we went to check what’s happening and he repeated 3 times that we “must rent umbrellas in order to park for free”. That was, of course, not a problem so we didn’t get what all the noise was about... We approached the bar and saw a free table and poufs. We decided to sit there when the waitress came and told us very impolitely it’s reserved (no sign or whatsoever). I asked where can we sit and got the unfriendly “Well, at the beach! Or here at the simple tables”. We approached the area with sun beds and umbrellas, and guess what: “We are full at the moment”. All this for nothing. Exactly 5 minutes were needed to form an opinion about this flawed place wanting to make money with nice design but without any proper service. Reading the other reviews here explains it all. All in all, just don’t go there if you don’t want to be...

On the last day of our holiday in Crete, we visited a beach near Heraklion Airport, not expecting much but hoping for a relaxed final day before our flight. To our surprise, this beach turned out to be a hidden gem! We had purposely booked an apartment close to the airport for convenience, and this beach was just a stone’s throw away.

Upon arrival, we rented a spacious sunbed for €25, which included bottled water and a refreshing fruit salad. The staff were extremely organized and attentive, but they never rushed you for payment—letting you settle the bill whenever you were ready to leave.

The beach itself was spotless, with crystal-clear, warm water. An unexpected highlight was the proximity to the airport; we could see planes flying over the sea as they came in to land, which added a unique and interesting vibe without the disturbance of loud noise.

All in all, what we thought would be a basic, convenient beach turned into a lovely and memorable experience. It's a fantastic option if you're staying near the airport, and we left feeling relaxed and...

This was the worst experience I had in Greece ever, and It is my 16th time in the country. "The boss"that works the beach is extremely rude. Me and my partner wanted to get in the shade since It was 12am and our skin was burning from the hot August sun, because the umbrella on top of our sun-beds (that we paid) was the smallest that we ever seen and It didn't provide us with any shade. The whole caffe with lazy bags with any shade was reserved and they threw us out of there... After that, we moved to the EMPTY side of the beach with some shade from the volleyball courts WITH NO SUN-BEDS, and they didn't let us stay there, although there wasn't anyone there. After that, we decided to leave the place, "the boss" was very rude to us and He suggested us to leave the place. Very unpleasant experience, don't go here! Beside all of that, the sun-beds, umbrellas, wi-fi are terrible. Waited forever for our order that It didn't even come.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Don't go here It you don't want to ruin...

Not recommended ->> I had a disappointing experience, second time today, at this beach, especially on weekends. Despite arriving as early as 9:40 AM when the sun beds were still empty, the staff refused to provide chairs, claiming they were reserved for their VIP Greek local guests. Throughout the week, I paid €29 for two beds, an umbrella, and towels, but on weekends, it’s clear that the staff prioritize local clients over foreign tourists. Their behavior is aggressive and dismissive towards foreigners, making it almost impossible for regular visitors to find a sunbed. It feels unfair and unfairly discriminatory, and I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone looking for a fair and relaxing beach experience. (90% of beds where empty when I tried to rent)

One of my favourite beaches so far around Iraklio. The beach chairs are very comfy and service is really good, every one is really nice and they all speak English. The food and drinks are not too expensive but they are delicious and they look really nice, and the portions are very big. We had two pasta dishes, a pizza, four cocktails, a coffee and 2 beers plus 3 beach chairs for the whole day and it was around 80€ - which we thought was not too bad. It's a short 18 or so min drive from our flat and the taxi is around 15€. They play music, have 2 volleyball courts, showers, changing rooms, basically everything you need from a day at the beach. Will definitely go back if we decide to have one last beach day.
