We visited this restaurant on Wednesday, August 13, and were very disappointed right from the entrance. The hostess greeted us with such arrogance, as if we looked like homeless people. I had to follow her through the hall for about a minute, constantly saying “excuse me, may I ask a question?”, but she didn’t react. Then she suddenly turned around and very sharply said: “sorry, what?”. I was speechless for a moment — I only wanted to ask if we could take the table right by the entrance. She refused and seated us in the very back… later she gave that same table to another family.
The only positive part was that the waiters themselves were polite and friendly, which is why we decided to stay. Still, I don’t understand the priorities in this restaurant. I saw that some guests were offered starters or complimentary drinks like raki or wine at the end of their meal, but we received nothing (not that we asked for it, but it felt unfair). More importantly, no one even offered a high chair for our three-year-old child.
On top of that, the pasta was far from al dente — it was clearly undercooked. Overall, for the price we paid, we felt very uncomfortable and did not...

We had high hopes for our dinner at Restauration Pagliaccio — unfortunately, the experience turned out more kitchen nightmare than culinary delight.
First, we waited 45 minutes for our food. By the time it arrived, we were wondering if they’d gone to Italy to catch the ingredients themselves. When my saltimbocca finally landed on the table, it looked like it had lost a fight with a frying pan. No white wine, no Marsala — just a lonely piece of undercooked meat with some sad-looking sides that seemed to have come from a confused buffet.
When I politely mentioned that the meat was raw, the waiter told me that’s how it’s supposed to be. I asked if he was Italian — he said no, he was Greek — and then walked off in a huff. I guess customer service wasn’t on the menu either.
The chicken dish? Let’s just say if chewing it had been a workout, we’d all have left with six-packs.
All in all, it was an evening of mystery meats and missing flavors. Next time we’ll eat at home — or at least somewhere that doesn’t turn a dinner into a test of patience and...
Read moreDuring our recent visit to Rethymno, Crete, we dined at this Italian restaurant that left a positive impression. The food was very good, with each dish reflecting authentic flavors and fresh ingredients.
We sampled several dishes. The carbonara stood out with its creamy sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. The pizza was also noteworthy, featuring a crispy yet tender crust and quality toppings. Another pasta dish we tried was equally enjoyable, showcasing the chef’s skill in traditional Italian cooking.
The risotto was alright, though it didn't quite match the excellence of the other dishes. Nonetheless, it was a decent part of our meal.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming ambiance that made for a pleasant dining experience.
Service was fine, with a hardworking and attentive staff who ensured our needs were met throughout the meal. Their efforts added to the positive experience.
