Agrilia Restaurant Rethymno — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

Read till the end... This restaurant has the best food not only in Rethymno but in all of Crete trust someone who just spent a week eating 3 or 4 times a day out at different cities, specially the sole fish with Butter sauce.. Buttttttt and its a big thing the owner(or Guest relation i don't know a 50ish year old man with an open shirt and gold necklace) of the restaurant stands outside to welcome you and after you are done when you are going out and thanking him he tries to hug the girl touristis and that i found that not friendly but weird tbh i saw this several times while i was eating there.. take care girls Don't let someone take advantage of the fact you are girls...

Don’t come here! Avoid by all means! Classic tourist trap! We ordered Saganaki for starter and it was tasteless. Mixed grill, plate for 2, as main course. The pork souvlaki, sausage, meat balls and gyros meat was not grilled enogh and not ready. All the pork meat was pink. 80% of the dish was badly cooked and not ready to be served. We told the waiter, who was arrogant from the second we entered the place, and he took the badly cooked meat and went off for the kitchen just to come back two minutes later with the same meat which was still pink. The food is terrible and the personell arrogant! Don’t come here and get disappointed! Go somewhere else. Avoid...

Really nice and cosy restaurant, with a view of the old city as well as the ocean.

As for the personnel; really really friendly! They are very patient, give solid advice/info when you ask for it.

I took the “Marida”, small bite-size fish, which are delicious! Definitly a must-try when you are in Crete. As for my girlfriend, she took the “spaghetti Agrilia”, which basically is the house pasta. One of the most tasty pastas we ever tried!

Pricewise it was good as well, might not be the cheapest place we found but it definitly was...
