ERIFILI AT SARTI AGORA Apartments & Studios, Sarti Chalkidiki — Hotel in Municipality of Sithonia

I would normally give the hotel 5 stars if I hadn't recently had an unacceptable experience! I have been a customer since the first year of operation at least once every summer. It was managed by two sisters, Antonia and Dimitris, who treated me perfectly and professionally during the years I've been going there. This year at the beginning of May, I booked a ground floor room for June 19-24, talking on the phone with the mother of the children who owns the old Erifili at Sarti Beach hotel and, as she informed me, took over the management of the Agora. Three days before I go on vacation, I called to confirm the reservation and the children's mother informed me that she had taken me - without informing me - to the old hotel outside of Sartis and in fact on the 2nd day she would also change my room, because as she told me some Agora customers requested an extension! Actually telling me "this is there sir if you want it"! I have worked in the hotel sector for many years, but this is the first time I have encountered such unacceptable behavior, being one of the first customers of Agora. It is certain that this behavior will pay off in time no matter how much she thinks she will earn a few extra euros from...

Long story short, we booked a room, prepared everyhing for the vacation and 4 says before the booked period we received a call that we have no room. No explanation at all. Only 5 6 other options for the 7 days. First problem regarding the seriousity appeared when on e-mail we agreed ok 80 euro/night and after we paid a part of the money acutaly we were informed in reality is 90 euro/night... but I said is ok to close our eyes. Returning to the room, Erifili did gave us a number of other solutions but most of them with 110 euro/night which is way over the budget, part of them not in Sarti or really far away from the village and another part supposed moving 3 4 times in 7 days( 3 rooms in the same hotel in 6 days and the last day in onether hotel was in my case)... In my opinion this is a practice they all make to fill all the rooms of all the places in Sarti since they know eachother. So, they do not care if I will have to move 5 times or I will give a bad review... they just want all the night to be covored no metter what. This is really not nice to make. The worst experience with private room renting in our life. You should avoid this place by far! We reserved the room in advance for a week on the second floor for 4 persons. As we arrived the owner Antonia was surprised and gave us another and the only available room on 1st floor that resembled a bunker, 20m2 max- although the website says 30m2! The terrace viewed the wall and we couldn't open out suitcases as the space was scarce. Only after two days we were able to get the room we reserved for 4 ppl. As we compllained about the price at the checkout for the first two nights, we were yelled at and threatened by the police, and we're charged fully as our room was for 4 ppl. They blocked even our car with theirs snd I thought Antonia's father was close to punching my husband who tried to explain the room we were given was not what we had reserved.
