It’s not as good as portrayed on all platforms of social media , it’s in vlychada , right opposite the port , the front of the hotel is not pleasant to the eye , lots of steps poor lighting , could be a problem for anybody with mobility issues ..The staff are very pleasant , Helena, Tanas, Dimetrie all very helpful . Very Basic hotel No tea/ coffee facilities in the rooms , no hairdryer , bed not great , towels very thin and worn looking ..could do with completely new ones ., no bar ,poolside menu expensive ..22euro for a club sandwich with wedges !! broken sink plug in our room ..asked every day to have same repaired ..all we got was “yes it will get fixed today” ..still not fixed as I write this review , ! It’s a very quiet area ,minimal restaurants and bars around you , we did find this lovely area, by chance ,out walking ,where there was loads of restaurants .good food but expensive .There is a mini market just down from hotel ..expensive for everything .hired a car , definitely needed as your very isolated here , we went to Fira and Oia , much more action , and a Lidl on the way to buy water etc ! . .Breakfast is basic . Same selection everyday , pastries ,Greek yogurt (plain , no selection) toast , breads , fruit .(really only apples and pears) , lovely tomatoes and feta cheese , same rashers sausage and fried and boiled eggs every day ..boring after day 3!.The hotel has a beautiful pool area , small ,but nice and a spa run by separate company ,Argeo spas…it’s so beautiful , and free to use for guests ..John , the manager and his team are very nice , but the prices for treatments are extortionate! Way over priced and it obvious as , nobody using the facilities , the team are just standing around all day and not doing anything , it must be soul destroying for them ..they do their best to sell the treatments but they are just overpriced and nobody interested .we did indulge and weren’t disappointed . Overall it’s not a top quality hotel ,it’s very isolated on the island of Santorini , limited public transport service Would I return ..not to this part of Santorini but yes to return...
Read moreA couple of family members and us spent few days at Notos Therme and Spa hotel, the hotel seemed to have change management and there were quite a few new employees. The property was beautiful although you could tell it needed some upgrading; however, the rooms and common areas were clean and comfortable, the employees were very nice and the restaurant was good too. We were welcomed by a lovely young woman, I believe her name was Nicole; she helped us with some car rentals. One of the members of our family had a little accident the very first day we were there and after we approached the desk to inform them of the issue, Georgios (or George, sorry if I spelled it wrong) came to the rescue. He acknowledged the problem right away and he acted promptly, we actually thought he was the General Manager only to learn later on that he wasn’t, he was in charge of the Food and Beverage department. We were never approached by the General Manager and we are not really sure who he was. We were there 3 days and Georgios never stopped taking care of us, it was Easter weekend so the hotel had a good amount of people checked in. Georgios worked crazy hours, sometimes from early in the morning serving breakfast until past midnight, taking care of all areas of the hotel. When we checked out, he was there helping carrying out luggage to the car. The young men helping in the restaurant were very nice as well, they did not speak English but they knew what we wanted. I also met a fellow Hispanic, a nice Dominican lady working in housekeeping. As I mentioned before, the hotel needs some upgrading but the location is amazing, away from the crowds, if that is what you are looking for. I could have stayed there our whole trip. If you happen to visit this hotel, do not forget to ask for Georgios and get to meet him, what a pleasant young man. Congratulations Georgios, you are doing an amazing job. The...
Read moreThis is a long story. I had booked a honeymoon suite with Notos for May 2020 but due to Covid the bookings had to be cancelled. But, there was no free cancellation Option because of which we had to get the amount as a voucher for 900 euros to be used another time. We got the voucher and got in contact with the receptionist there in June 2021 and asked her to book us the Honeymoon suite for 3 days.. the honeymoon suite is currently under renovation because of which she offered to put my booking for a junior suite for 4 days. In order to get a better deal I asked her to book a plunge pool suite for 3 days starting 07-10 September as the rooms were 300 euros per night at that point. She asked me to WhatsApp the request and said she will enter the booking in their calendar. I sent the WhatsApp msg to the receptionist but I did not get a reply back from her. I followed up with her again in July but there was no reply again from her side. It was pretty frustrating because the entire Greece trip was booked but the confirmation of room from their side was not available. So I wrote her an email regarding customer handling and then she replied in August that they can offer the plunge pool suite for an extra of 300 euros after voucher amount which makes it 1200 euros. We were pretty upset about it and we decided to go for the junior suite in the end. We expected that she would come personally to us and apologize for her mistake but she did not even bother to make contact with us. I have the opinion that this woman screwed us royally just to make more money from the suites. We were dealt with another receptionist who was kind but it did not help with cooling us. The junior suite room that was provided is another story. The room had cobwebs on the Air conditioning areas and the bathrooms were below standards. Photos...
