This one is always suggested by the locals, so we gave it another try for a second time after our last visit 2 years ago. The first time I had the impression it was overestimated and almost a tourist trap. We arrived in Wednesday evening at 18:30 and we had to wait for more than half an hour before getting a table in the deck with the view. They offered us some Ouzo in the meantime. We ordered saganaki shrimps which was average in portion and in quality, with a mix of really small shrimps (gapari) and medium sized ones. We had zucchini balls which were really good. We also had veal with pita giaourtlou, which was ok again. Last we had "Sakis special", we ordered it because we thought it was like "mpougiournti". This plate was a shame to both carrying the name special or the restaurant brand. It was a watery tomato with pepper and a tiny bit of feta. Please, do yourself a favour and avoid it. So, I still believe that it does not worth your energy to get up there or the waiting in the sun for half hour for this kind of subpar experience. Edit: After reading your response, I deducted more stars from the service and the food to be actually fair to other businesses' effort. Thank you for confirming that this place does not worth anyone's energy and is in fact a tourist trap. Farewell.

Undoubtably the best restaurant and best taverna in Parga. The charming decor and ambiance is incredibly romantic and calming. The food is very affordable and high value. Plus the staff are so kind and friendly! It’s a hot spot for locals and tourists alike. They were very accommodating to vegetarians and vegans too. I ordered the gemista aka stuffed tomatoes and peppers, however the kitchen just finished up the dish and instead offered to make me an off menu nonna-approved spaghetti with rich mushrooms, seasonal veg and a rich tomato sauce! One of the best pastas I’ve had in Greece thus far. The fried zucchini was thin, fresh and delightful. Not oily, greasy and heavy.

The food is very, very tasty, the service is first class, the staff is very kind and helpful. When we arrived we had to wait because it was a full house, but the chief waiter greeted us, asked for patience and brought us a drink while we waited. Of course, it is also possible to reserve a table in advance. The service is fast, accurate. After having eaten that dinner, after the payment, the waiter even brought us some fruit. The main waiter greets each guest personally. The place is very cozy and clean. If you are in Parga, be sure to visit it! I was maximum satisfied and can only recommend it to everyone.

THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER TRIED IN MY LIFE!!!. PLS do not visit. The food was terrible and i had food poisoning since that fated evening. I made a reservation at 19.30, the previous day. When I arrived on time, the manager dimitrios made me wait for a full hour!! I ordered the grandma's beef and when it came(20 mins later), it was extremely raw and undercooked. When I brought this to the attention of the chef, to my surprise, they started yelling at me. I left the place crying. This is a very bad restaurant everyone. Maybe the worst in Parga itself If you want to keep your dignity, I plead with all people like me not to visit this restaurant( if it can even be called that) I checked myself into a hospital near Parga and it is confirmed I had food poisoining. SHAME ON YOU GUYS.

PS: As an edit (as I cannot directly respond to your reply), I arrived at 19.25( 5 mins before my reservation). The manager told me that as the restaurant was busy at this hour and told me to be patient and wait for 15-20 mins. Respecting their longstanding tradition and history, I agreed. I took a walk nearby and when I came back after 15mins, the manager told me that the table was being prepared for me and he told me he would give tzatziki as complimentary. I waited for another 20 mins(the complimentary starter didn't even arrive by then). When I finally sat down at my table, I ordered the Grandma's Beef. Although the food came quickly, once I took a bite it was clear it wasn't cooked. Now I admit it is my mistake that I did not immediately inform the chef/manager (I had taken 5-6 bites before doing so). When I finally informed the manager, he initially refuted my claim, saying they source all their products locally and is fresh. When I asked him to take a bite for proof, he started shouting at me. Now, I am an ordinary man living with an average salary. I do NOT want to sue you. I understand it might be a mistake, given that you have numerous reviews complimenting your restaurant. But I do not want this to happen again. I am writing this after so many days(like you kindly mentioned) since I did not know what to do and how to take further action. After consulting with family and friends( and recovering from the poisoning), I have decided to let this be.

I hope you accept your mistakes and learn from them. I only decided to let this matter subside because I respect your longstanding tradition and restaurant. Please do not take this as a sign of...

Vegans and vegetarians beware!! We saw the menu online and we took notice that the tavern made an effort and had vegetarian/gluten free/ and vegan tags next to the dishes. As vegans we got excited thinking that we don't have to worry about having something proper to eat there, and walk a 20 minute distance to get there to eat. As soon as we arrive and take a look at the menu we realise that they are clueless about vegetarianism since they have sea food like octopus labeled as vegan and many other absurdities. We finally find stuff to order according to out eating lifestyle, but the waiter comes back every two minutes to declare that the dishes that we ordered were all premade and with different ingredients than what the menu suggested. Almost all the self declared vagan options were premade with cheese so they were out of the picture for us. Finaly we order the most forgetable fava I have ever had, An equally forgetable palioparga salad, completely tasteless. Some ntolmadakia that were comparable to the ones that anyone can find in a can at the supermarket. The grilled vegetables were tasty but you can't go wrong with that. It was half an eggplant, one zucchini, one red pepper and one green pepper roasted. Zero potatoes although the menu said potatoes with the grilled vegetables. The last dish cost 9 euros. Joke.

Overall the stuff was meh, there were constant visits to our table making a bigger deal of our eating habits than they had to, other costumers constantly getting over our table to take pictures of the nice view, and the wooden platform that they have build to canibalise the natural view to make people forget their mediocore cuisine was shaking with every step behind us.

It was not even a full day or time we should have got away as soon as we saw the vegan octopus.

This...

The worst food experience ever. At first we had some nice appetizers but then we ordered a grilled swordfish. After two bites it was clear that the fish is really bad. I even ran up toilet to spit the last bite out. We returned the fish yet these few bites were enough to keep us all night long on the toilet, we've been basically ceaselessly throwing up. You need to be careful in this heat to choose a right place to have a fish. And it was definitely not this place. Both, I and my husband, felt sick as never before. Although the people from the restaurant were nice, we cannot warn enough against this place.

As I cannot answer directly to your reaction, I am adding this post scriptum. I am 100% sure it was a food poisoning. We hadn't eaten anything since breakfast till we had our dinner at your place. We had been feeling perfectly fine the whole day. Within an hour after dining at your place we started to feel sick, and we spent the whole night at toilet. Both of us. We had to stay in Parga a day longer, as we were so weak that we couldn't move to our further destination. It cost us extra money and a day of our holiday which we spent in bed. Since Friday morning we are ok again. No fever. Nothing resembling any disease. I am really sorry but I just described truly our experience, with due respect to your long...
