The place itself is in a nice location, on a small square, at the foot of an old ruined house. Now let's get to the food. We ordered dolma, which was ice-cold canned with a small spoon of some kind of yogurt. As we learned from all the locals, this should be served warm, and with tzatziki. The taste was terrible. Plus, the portion was invisible, with 5 small pieces for a good price. The souvlaki was half raw, and paper-thin pieces on a small skewer. The fries were delicious. However, they don't serve any vegetables with it, which is standard in every taverna and comes with plenty of them. My partner ordered lamb, but there wasn't much meat on the bone, but you could see the pieces of it in the little meat. So it wasn't enjoyable at all. He signaled to the waiter that he only wanted vegetables with it, and no fries. This is the case in every other place in the city, where you don't get fries, but they make a generous side dish of vegetables. Here, it was also small, and mainly made of red onion... The tables are very crowded, but they apparently don't care, because every night a new guest can leave if you weren't satisfied with your meal. All I can say about the waiters is that they are young guys who would rather chat with each other than politely look attentively if someone speaks to them at all. We spent the last dinner of the vacation here, but unfortunately it spoiled the atmosphere quite a bit. It's okay, the gyros at the airport were...
Read moreThird year in a row in Parga and Lithos has been our favorite taverna EVERY SINGLE YEAR. This year we stayed for 5 nights and went there 4 times for dinner (We're still regretting that one night we decided to go some place else). There are no words to describe the taste of the dishes. I know food so trust me on this one! We haven't had one single dish that wasn't to our liking. The souvlaki - best one we tried in Greece. The chicken is so tender that it's hard to believe they use chicken breast. The moussaka has an amazing flavour and it's seasoned to perfection. The prawn pasta is AMAZING. Best prawns I had, fresh and tender, not at all overcooked. The starters are to die for. Our favorite starter from their menu was by far the stuffed kerato peppers. To all of the members of Lithos team, if you're reading this please know you were one of the many reasons we visited Parga threee times in a row ! Hope to see you...
Read moreA hidden gem — culinary excellence in Parga
Best restaurant in the city? Well, I can’t speak for the entire city — but it was without a doubt the best meal we had during our entire stay in the area. Our only regret is that we didn’t discover this gem earlier.
As a professional chef with over 20 years of experience, I can confidently say this was top-tier dining. Every detail was beautifully executed — flavor, presentation, color, the harmony between meats, sides, salads, rice, potatoes, and cheese. It was nothing short of a culinary symphony.
If I really stretch to find a flaw, it would be the dessert menu: only three options, and a bit too similar to each other. And if I’m being absurdly picky about service — sure, it could’ve been a tiny bit more polished… but probably only by Burj Khalifa standards.
Bottom line: do yourself a favor and eat here at least once while in Parga. You will...
