Writing this review and really torn on how many stars to give....first, the good: The zipline experience (both the regular zipline and Zuperman) were awesome. The crew kept the group moving and made sure we had fun while on the experience. While the rest of my family did the Zuperman, I ate at the bar and was pleasantly surprised at the food.
Now, the bad: We booked directly through South Shore and the check-in at the airport was simple and we boarded our car with our driver, Tony. We don't know if Tony worked for South Shore or was just a hired taxi driver. Tony was nice and very informative about the island on the drive to the ziplines. The Eco-Walk was a complete waste of time (only around 20 minutes) and more time was spent listening to our guide ask for tips or preaching about religion. Not a single animal was seen and she said it's not common to see animals because of the noise of the ziplines. In our confirmation email, it stated to bring a bathing suit and towel for an optional beach visit. When we asked Tony about our beach visit, he took us to a "nice spot" at a beachside restaurant and walked us out to a pier to sit and enjoy the ocean. Tony said he needed to move his car from the street as cops could come and "boot" his tire but would be right back.....well, he never returned. We did not have a contact phone number for Tony. We waited ~30-45 minutes and finally had to turn on our cellular service (and pay the $10 fee) to call the phone number for South Shore. We were told that "we don't take anyone to that beach" but would try and get a hold of Tony to have him come pick us up. We waited about 20 mins for a phone call and had to move on to option B and ask the local restaurant for assistance. We paid a private driver to get us back to the cruise ship terminal. It wasn't until we were nearly back to port that a return call was made from South Shore but no voicemail was left even if just to apologize.
Beware of the Eco-Walk excursion (save your money) and your driver may have their own timeline leaving you...

To be fair, our Driver was fantastic and brought us to many stops and sightsee the island. It wasn’t until the zipline portion where things starts to go downhill for us. We were there early and was one of the first to get our harness put on and ready, we have a group of 7. Then we waited for about 8 others to get geared up only to be told that they’re with the previous group and we’ll go with the next group. Fine, we figured at least we’ll be at the front of the group and that’s worth the wait. After the first 3 zipline, we were asked who had the blue dotted wrist bands, those means you have a “combo” tour. About 3/4 of our group of ~25 have them, while we had the zipline only band. Apparently they were running late and since they have other tours after the zipline, they needed to go first. We ended up just standing in one of the zipline station for a good 20-30mins. One of my son noticed that they were letting others with zipline only band go through as well. When we asked the guide, he didn’t even realized that they’re were letting non combo customers through. This entire time we’ve just been standing on the side letting them through. We ended up being 2nd to last in the group the rest of the ziplines. After the initial regular zipline it was already almost 2, and while they say we can still go on the Superman, we declined because we don’t want to risk not making it back to the port on time. Especially if delay like what we’ve experienced happened again, then that would definitely cut it too close for our departure time. Overall, we felt that we paid for both zipline and Superman, but because of their mismanagement of time we ended up spending a good amount of time on the side waiting and watching others go pass us, and ended up only doing zipline without Superman even though we...

Our driver was Alvin and he had lots of interesting information about Roatan (he talked really fast though, and with his accent it was a little hard to understand him.) We drove for about 30 minutes (the road was in bad disrepair-- potholes everywhere--but Alvin was a good driver). At the South Shore office we got our helmets and harnesses and met our guides, Louis, Brent, and Chocky. There were 12 ziplines and it was in such a beautiful location. We had our 3 kids with us (ages 5-11) and the guides were very helpful with all of us. They had a guide ride with our 5 year old every time (but she is very brave and wanted to go alone, so they let her go alone on her last zip, which she loved!) The guides used our phones to take photos and videos of us while we zipped which was nice; I was glad they didn't use their own cameras and then try to sell us a disc of pictures at the end. They also had birds and monkeys at the end of the tour that we could hold and take pictures with, which was a lot of fun. South Shore did a wonderful job! As a side note, they had an additional snorkeling experience that we could have bought, but we chose not to in order to save money. But when we were returned to the port, there was not a close beach and we ended up paying a taxi to take us BACK to the beach to snorkel (we drove right by South Shore in the taxi.) The snorkeling at West Bay Beach was beautiful! I wish we would have just spent the extra money for the zip AND snorkel tour from South Shore. It may have cost us a bit more money, but we would've saved time in driving. So I would recommend South Shore for their “Zip...
