Hmmm this is a tough one to write because I've visited Luna Muna several times (normally for breakfast) but I went to celebrate my birthday yesterday and it was extremely disappointing. The server only seemed interested in being attentive to every table EXCEPT mine. For example, the server took my friends drink order while I was in the restroom, brought him his drink while I was back at the table, didnt acknowledge me or my daughter at all, then moved over to the next table. He then spent over 20 minutes going back and forth with that table, bringing wine. At this point I still haven't been asked if I want anything to drink...and not to be that girl but like....it's my birthday?
We eventually asked another server if we could order our food (going on about 35 to 40 minutes now of simply waiting for attention) and our initial server walked up to our table....then PIVOTED to the next table over, still not taking our order! For context, there were only 4 tables, including mine, and all of them had already received food.
Eventually the food came, it was positively fantastic as usual...but then the dessert. This one I might be being nitpicky, but mind you one of the other tables had a birthday too, and all the team came out to sing to them. When my dessert arrived, and bracing for my turn at a serenade, the server simply popped it on the table and walked away. My 6 year old sang at least, and then after sitting there for a few minutes we had to remind them we needed spoons.
All in all....an extremely awkward and cold experience during what should have been a celebration, at a place where I've historically been met with warmth and top...
Read moreI was quite disappointed with my experience at Luna Muna, especially considering the other reviews raving of great service. We began by ordering cocktails, which took 15 minutes (there are only 3 of us at the table). the cocktails were excellent, I will say. creative and delicious. Just before Appetizers arrived, i asked for a wine list (it was not offered at the time we sat down), and ordered a bottle of Chardonnay. Appetizers arrived, but the Kale Salad had no Kale, and when I asked, the waiter pointed at the beets. So, not a great start. Midway into the appetizers, main courses arrived. No bottle of wine yet, and we hurriedly finished the appetizers, of which one plate was taken (the other left until the end of the meal). I waited about 5 minutes for the wine, intending to have it with my meal. Finally the waiter came with a bottle, a cab franc. Back he goes, and food remains untouched. Waiter is cleaning the glasses now, it's been 8 minutes, and food is getting cold, so we begin. Finally, 10 minutes after mains arrived, and a full 20 minutes after ordering, the wine arrives. Aside from the terrible timing, the necessity to constantly flag the waiter, and the empty wine glasses, the food was pretty decent.
$350 meal for 3 people. Service worthy of 1/3rd that...
Read moreHello, we have never left a review like this. We had a reservation for 7 pm this evening. We decided to take a water taxi from West End to Ibagari and that was our first mistake. We had cash but only larger bills. ($50.) and needed change to pay the water taxi. When we approached the staff for change, they were rolling their eyes. We said we had reservations and they questioned it like we were lying. To try and make it less painful, we ordered a couple of martinis and they would only make change for the martinis. Eduardo the Maitred inquired as to what was going on and when we replied, he proceeded to make excuses. There was a woman in the midst of it all that was rude, rolling her eyes and laughing. Eduardo knows who she is. We were treated like homeless people that walked in off the street. We have been to your establishment no less than 8 times, alone and with friends. You can be assured we’ll share our experience with our friends. Unfortunately.. Highly disappointed with a very poor experience. We left without having dinner because of the arrival experience. This was our last trip to Muna Luna. Should you desire to have a conversation I’m happy to speak...
