Ironically enough with a place named Sea Salt, most of the dishes we ordered had zero salt at all. The food here is truly bad, not even mediocre, and certainly not worthy of the insanely high prices they charge. To give you an idea, the Grouper entree is $49 USD. The plate is a 5 oz filet with nothing else on the plate. No sides, no sauce, nothing. A piece of fish for $49. The beef carpaccio is $30 and literally was the worst carpaccio I have ever had. Zero salt, zero acid, no flavor at all. Juat plain thin sliced beef with some olive oil. Just gross honestly. My frutti di mare pasta was atrocious. It had no flavor, the tomato sauce tasted canned, the calamari was so overcooked, rubber bands would have been easier to chew through.
The food here is priced expensively simply for the sake of being expensive. Not due to some insane level of quality and expertise. A 1 liter bottle of Pellegrino is $12. Easily a 400% mark up on an item that requires zero prep, zero experience to create, zero skills to serve. And yet they feel like you should pay them a 400% mark up. The two people dining with us that got still water never once even got a water refill. Not once! The menu here contains dishes that you could find at dozens of other restaurants on the island. All of those being far better in every way possible.
The carpaccio at Pazzos is not even half the price as Sea Salt and it is much bigger and 1000 times more flavorful. I watch grown adults finish an entire carpaccio themslves at pazzos as an appetizer. At Sea salt, 4 of us struggled to finish the much smaller flavorless version.
The grouper filet can be had at more places than i could name and all for WAY less than $49. All of those places also include side dishes and actually creative preperations. Not just a piece of fish on a plate.
The frutti di mare pasta at Oasis is half the price and does not contain rubber band like calamari and the sauce itself is clearly not from a can.
The wine list is 4 selections. All from the same vineyard. 2 reds and 2 whites. I have been to places with drive-thru windows with a better wine selection than this place.
It took over 30 minutes to get the check and pay once we asked for it. One of the biggest sins a restaurant can commit is to hold your diners hostage once they have signaled they are ready to leave.
The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is for the ambiance. It is a beautiful dining room right on the beach.

Read moreBest restaurant on the island that we’ve tried so far (after our third visit here!) We went to Sea Salt for dinner on Tuesday evening, after it being recommended to us by someone staying at our resort who just raved about it. We have to agree! Things we loved: 1. The ambiance. It felt like having dinner on a friend’s lovely back patio. The view of the water and sunset was unbeatable, and the lighting in the trees after dark was perfect. 2. The service. Diana was our server, and she was terrific — super attentive and everything arrived quickly and perfectly as ordered. 3. The food and drinks! We ordered margaritas (yum) and a bottle of white wine, an appetizer of tuna tartare, and dinner of grouper, snapper, and sides of zucchini and mashed potatoes. Everything was wonderful. 4. The music playlist. I know this is often overlooked in reviews, but it makes a huge difference — the playlist was a perfect loungy jazz mix that really added to the romantic atmosphere.
We will definitely be visiting again on...

The greatest expression of quality and attention to detail. It’s definitely the best Fine Dining Spot on the island! It’s way beyond a culinary experience. From the time you step in, you get the vibe you are going to enjoy every second there.
The menu is very creative and it’s hard to make a choice because everything looks and sounds so delicious. We definitely recommend having the Grilled Octopus and the “Vitello Tonnato”. You might as well ask for the “Pineapple Ravioli” dessert, it’s not on the Menu, but ask for them and you will thank me later.
The Waitress is super attentive and kind. She takes time to explain every question and she knows how to make suggestions, based on her experience and great taste.
Remember, you get what you pay for. IMO it’s worth every penny spent here.
Ambiance is great for a date or any special occasion.
We will definitely be back soon.
Extra tip: Make your reservation ideally for 5:30 p.m., that’s the best hour to enjoy...
