Every day in Iceland is the best day of my life tbh 🥲 Our 10 favorite moments of Icelandic summer 🥹🇮🇸 (in no particular order) 1. Floating in the Blue Lagoon after a long week of exploring. It’s one of those well-known places that is still so fun to visit, especially with a face mask and drink included. 🥲 2. Counting rainbows at all of the waterfall stops. I lost count 😅 There are quite literally 10,000 waterfalls on the island, and you pass one every 2 seconds on the drive. 3. Finding out why Diamond Beach has its name (it’s due to the huge chunks of glacier ice from the glacier lagoon that float out to sea and wash up on the shore) 👀🧊 4. Hiking on a glacier 🤯 5. Visiting all of the hidden waterfalls that most people miss and walking into a waterfall 🥹 6. Walking along Vik’s black sand beach at golden hour, except the sunlight never goes away during the summer SO golden “hour” is actually many hours long and SO beautiful. 7. Exploring the capital city’s rainbow road, especially during the summer when you walk out of a bar at 2am and it’s still light out 😳 8. The fact that any random side of the road stop looks like THIS. Just driving down the main highway is the roadtrip of a lifetime. 9. Every little town in Iceland is SO CUTE. The little town of Vik has the cutest buildings + mountain AND beach views. 10. HOT SPRINGS AND POOLS. This is a huge part of Icelandic culture, and there are so many cool ones to see. The TWC trip stops at some very cool and lesser known ones.
