My boyfriend and I are very satisfied with our stay here! We stayed here for two nights while we were in Iceland, and it is a great, comfortable hotel. We stayed in a king room. The bed was very cozy. The shower was warm with excellent water pressure, and the room was quiet. The rooms and the lobby are adorable, with a great modern design and classic rock played throughout the lobby. I saw previous reviews stating that you could hear a nightclub across the street, and it is really not bad or loud at all. We stayed in the room all the way at the end, closest to the nightclub! If we looked out of our hotel window, we could see the nightclub directly across from us, and we were fine! I actually thought the hotel room was too quiet, and I needed white noise to fall asleep, so I put rain noises on my phone at a low volume to help me fall asleep. You just heard a few people here and there on Saturday night, but I think the nightclub was closed on Sunday night. And actually, Saturday night, I woke up from my boyfriend playing a video on his phone, not from anyone enjoying the nightclub. So, if you’re a really light sleeper on a Saturday, I think a little bit of rain noises would mute anything you might hear from the nightclub. But it is really not bad at all. Then, the room was warm, and I usually like to sleep with the AC on, but there is no thermostat to change the temperature in your room. I assume it is probably an American thing to put thermostats in every room. But I’d rather be warm than freezing, so it really didn’t bother me! Plus, there is a fan in the room. The hotel is within walking distance from all of the shops and food options in Reykjavik, and there is a parking garage right next door basically. The parking garage is closed from midnight to 7 a.m., but that didn’t bother us because we didn’t plan on getting up that early to go anywhere. All in all, I think it is a great hotel and would stay here again.
