I went for the Kodachadri trek with them in December 2018. This was my first trek and my first solo trip. It completely changed my view of a lot of things. The group that I went with, and Nature Walkers (the organisers) deserve all the credit for that. The outdoor leaders- Amrita, Avinash and Swapna, ensured that we gelled together as a group. They kept us energised, cheered us at every difficult climb completed, dragged us into the waterfall, and took care of our health and comfort. The trek was moderately difficult, in the sense that there were stretches where you could almost walk while there were portions where you literally had to climb on all fours. But the views of the lush green mountains studded with tiny cottages and topped with fluffy clouds was more than enough reward for our labours. The waterfall in the middle of the trail was a lovely surprise. After every few steps as I turned back and looked in any direction- up, down, around- I could see a completely different picture. The weather played a lovely accompaniment to the landscape, as the sun played hide and seek with the clouds, we had enough warmth and respite from the heat. The sunset was a perfect curtain drop to the climb. To top it off, the moon rose on the other side as the sun set! Not to forget, the roller coaster ride on the jeep on the way back was fun and a wee bit scary. The bonfire at the homestay added some adrenaline to the depleted stores after the trek. I must mention that the homestay was very comfortable. Uncle and aunty made awesome breakfast and dinner and provided as much comfort as they could in the modest surroundings. The short trip to the Nagara Fort the following day was the cherry on the icing, a very quiet relaxing view. The drive back to the city was filled with soothing views of the mountains, and before we knew, we were back in the city! Goodbyes were tough, but we had to say them, even though we didn't want to, because the bunch of strangers I had joined on the bus on Friday already felt like long-time friends on Sunday evening! To sum it up, it was a hectic tour, but the memories I took back with me left me wanting more. I will recommend Nature Walkers to all my friends who are planning treks, and will come back for more trips with...

Kodachadri Trek:: (Date: 20th-22nd September,2019) I love to travel coz that's the only way to escape the regular schedule. And I believe, getting on roads is the best way to know yourself and people around U.S It was my first trek with Nature Walkers, to begin with. And, I am pretty sure I m taking my next trek with them again. So, as I said, it was my first trek with these wonderful people and I had never ever been to a trip with all unknown people around me. But, m always up for an adventure and it was an adventure too. We started Friday evening, i.e. 20th Sep 2019, and reached the base camp of Kodachadri. We had our Breakfast as the arrangement was done in a homestay with all the basic amenities one can need in a life, with minimals. To be honest, Kodachadri Trek comes under moderate to difficult category (for me). It's 13+ Kms trek filled up with adventures at every step. The trail of the trek will take U through forest area, then a waterfall, some rock climbing to deal with, and a mesmerizing view of grasslands to end with. Not to forget the leeches to tease you in between. After dealing with all these, we reached out lunch point, which was at an altitude of 11 Kms from the base camp. They had that all arranged and we understood the meaning of every grain of rice at that moment. The food was again basic but couldn't have asked for more than that basic food to satisfy us. No food can ever beat the basics. After lunch, we started the remaining trek to reach the sunset point. Though nature had a different plan for us and we did not get to see the sun even for once. But, we did get a feeling that we are standing in between clouds. It was a wonderful experience to go through. I would suggest every one to try this. If You are an introvert kind of person, You will become extrovert if U keep trekking with these wonderful people. And If U are an extrovert already, then U will have a lot of fun time meeting new people everytime. I did make some good friends. Thank You Nature walkers. Will be planning...
