Milano Ice Cream, Indiranagar: A Rainy Night of Colors and Flavors
Bangalore has a special charm when it rains. The city, often chaotic and fast-paced, slows down just a little, allowing you to enjoy its beauty. And what better way to celebrate a rainy evening than with a scoop (or several) of delicious ice cream?
Last night, as the rain painted the streets of Indiranagar with a fresh, dewy glow, we found ourselves at Milano Ice Cream, a little gem for dessert lovers. The air was cool, the roads reflected the neon city lights, and the craving for something sweet led us to this vibrant place.
A Riot of Colors and Flavors
Walking into Milano is like stepping into a world of flavors. From deep, dark chocolates to bright, fruity sorbets, each tub of gelato is a piece of art. We couldn't resist trying multiple scoops—pistachio, mango, Belgian chocolate, and a unique berry mix that was both tangy and sweet.
Each bite was a burst of indulgence, creamy and rich, just as gelato should be. The textures were smooth, the flavors intense, and the experience simply delightful. The best part? Watching others around us—some with excited kids, some couples on quiet dates, and some like us, just enjoying the moment.
The Ambience: Warm and Welcoming
Despite the chilly weather outside, Milano had a warm, cozy vibe. The décor was minimal yet inviting, with soft lighting that made everything feel just right. The seating was comfortable, perfect for long conversations over scoops of happiness.
The staff was friendly, offering us small tastings before we made our final picks. There’s something about good service that makes the experience even sweeter.
Ice Cream and Rain: A Perfect Combination
As we stepped out with our last bites of gelato, the rain had slowed to a drizzle. The city smelled fresh, the roads were quieter, and for a few moments, everything felt just perfect. Sometimes, it’s the simplest joys—rain, ice cream, and good company—that make for the...
Read moreI never really understood the buzz behind Milano Ice Cream and decided to try them out recently with a bunch of friends. On a rainy afternoon, the place was overloaded with customers and we managed to get past the crowd and ordered ourselves some gelato, which are priced well for a small, regular, and a large cup. We settled for small and regular options where you can pick upto 2 flavours in small and 3 in regular and large with an option of a cup or a cone. I picked up an avocado and chocolate and After tasting the gelato, I understood the reason behind the buzz. The flavours were excellent in the avocado with a mild interlace of sweetness that is just right, whereas the chocolate went bold with decadent indulgent flavours that I absolutely loved. I did try the lemon gelato that was stunningly sour, perfect for a summer day.
Milano not just had gelatos, they had a wide range of decadent pies, dessert indulgences like tiramisu, dutch truffle cake, fruit salads, fresh fruit popsicles and ice cream sandwiches
Having loved their gelatos, I decided to go overboard and ordered a chocolate hazelnut ice cream sandwich too, it was absolutely great, a fantastic treat, and reminded me of my younger days enjoying a delicious slice of thick ice cream between thin wafer slices.
This gave me enough confidence to pack a bowl of tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and a slice of dutch truffle home. The chocolate mousse was a decadent piece of creamy deliciousness, though I would have preferred it to be a bit more airy, the Tiramisu an excellent version and the dutch truffle was a perfect mix of ganache and cake and was beautifully made.
Now all I have to do is to bring family here for an indulgent treat and also pray that they open up an outlet in Whitefield, much closer home. Do visit and do indulge in Milano...

They offer a wide variety of unique and creative flavors, including seasonal fruit sorbets that are truly exceptional. The gelato's creaminess is perfect, with intense and authentic flavors that make every spoonful a little explosion of taste.
This place doesn't stop at just ice cream. They also offer an array of other sweet treats like cheesecakes, freshly baked croissants, colorful popsicles, and an assortment of candies. Everything is priced reasonably, making it great value for money. The quality of their ice cream is premium, rivaling some of the best gelaterias I've visited.
What sets this place apart is their constantly changing menu, filled with a unique array of flavours at all times. Whether you're in the mood for classic flavors or want to try something exotic like avocado or a dessert-inspired cream, they've got you covered.
