We visited this place twice over two days since this is a vast centre with so much to walk around and learn from. You need to plan over two days to complete this for about 10 hours in total.
Car Museum is amazing with not only cars but also carries interesting info posters with amazing throwback pics.
Science museum is huge and you can't complete this, how much ever you try in 3 Hours. It is not only for kids but also adults will find it informative to understand evolution of science for almost all professionals.
What we loved most with the 8 and 13 year old kids of ours is the experience center where kids will definitely have a good time. There are plenty of experiments in science to touch and learn from experiments. If your child is interested in science and needs a hands on learning experience on basic science concepts then this is the place to go. We visited this twice to complete since you will be exhausted here sooner than the museums because of the activity.

Read moreIf you visit Coimbatore make sure you keep a day aside for the museum. It is one of the best museums I have visited. The car museum has a huge collection of vintage cars and the history of the associated technological advances is well documented along the walls. The science museum has 1000s of articles, from safety razors to gramophones to vintage computers. It's a great way to pique kids' interest in science & technology. I learnt a lot of things myself. And I haven't even mentioned the best part yet - the Experimental Science Center. If you visit nothing else, visit this. The amount and nature of experiments on display is mind boggling. Ever heard of Chaldni Patterns? You'll find it here. You need at least 3-4 hrs to try out all the experiments so plan...
