Ahinsa Sthal is a Jain temple located in Mehrauli area, New delhi. The main deity of the Lord Mahavir is known for its 14 ft high granite sculpture of (24th Jain Tirthankar). Lord Mahavira seated on a lotus placed on a pedestal & flanked by statues of lions & ornaments-clad attendants, presents a glorious picture. To reach the statue you have to climb a few easy steps on the hillock. Ahinsa Sthal is a significant Digambar Jain temple that offers a cool retreat for spiritual practices and divinity. The theme of the garden is non- violence reflecting its purpose as a tranquil and serene atmosphere for meditation and reflection. From the top one can have a 360 degree magnificent view of the surroundings including sunset and Qutub Minar. Azim Khan tomb is just 200 metres away and is facing each other. Temple timings 6 am to 12 noon and 4 to 8 pm. No entry fee. Good place for spending quality time with family/ friends !!!

I visited Ahinsa Sthal yesterday, and it was such a peaceful and calming experience. The moment I entered, I felt a sense of serenity away from the chaos of the city. The main attraction — the grand idol of Lord Mahavira — is truly mesmerizing. It stands tall and radiates calmness, making you want to just sit quietly and reflect. The entire place is very well-maintained. The gardens are clean, the pathways are nicely paved, and there’s enough greenery around to make it feel refreshing. I also appreciated that it wasn’t too crowded when I went, so I could really enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Whether you’re spiritually inclined or just looking for a calm place to relax, Ahinsa Sthal is worth visiting. It’s perfect for a short break from your daily routine and to just soak in some peace.

Ahinsa Sthal is a hidden gem for peace seekers, nature lovers, and anyone interested in Jain philosophy. It offers a moment of calm in the middle of a bustling city. It’s not a crowded tourist spot, which adds to its charm for those seeking silence or spiritual connection.Surrounded by greenery, the site offers a serene escape from Delhi’s noise. The highlight is a large, black granite statue of Lord Mahavira in the lotus posture. It radiates peace and calmness. Ahinsa Sthal, located on Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road near Qutub Minar in Delhi, is a peaceful spiritual site dedicated to Lord Mahavira, the founder of Jainism. It's a quiet, lesser-known spot ideal for reflection and meditation.

This is a religious place, so you will have to keep your chapel and shoes at the counter near the entry and go inside naked. There are toilets and drinking water near the counter. Ahinsa Sthal in Lado Sarai is one of the most peaceful and underrated places to visit in Delhi. Tucked away along the Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, this serene spot is a breath of fresh air amid the noise and bustle of the city.

The main attraction here is the impressive and calming statue of Lord Mahavira, which stands tall in a meditative posture, surrounded by lush greenery and beautifully maintained gardens. The atmosphere is tranquil, making it perfect for a quiet walk, meditation, or simply sitting in peace.

The pathways are shaded with trees, the lawns are well kept, and the whole area is very clean. It’s a great spot for families, morning walkers, nature lovers, or anyone looking to unwind in a quiet and green environment. You’ll often hear birds chirping and see squirrels running around—an ideal setting for nature photography as well.

What’s nice is that there’s no entry fee and it's generally not crowded, even on weekends. It’s easily accessible by road and not too far from Qutub Minar or Mehrauli Archaeological Park, so it can easily be part of a heritage or spiritual day trip.

One thing that could be improved is adding information boards that explain the significance of the place and details about Lord Mahavira’s teachings. That would make the visit more informative, especially for those unfamiliar with Jainism.

Overall, Ahinsa Sthal is a quiet and meaningful space that offers peace and reflection—a great place to connect with nature and yourself, right in the middle of...
