A Memorable Evening at Dramz, Qutab Minar, Delhi
This was my first visit to Dramz, located right opposite the iconic Qutab Minar in Delhi, and let me tell you, the setting is the real star here! If you snag a spot on the rooftop’s outdoor seating, you’re treated to a stunning view of Qutab Minar glowing under evening lights—a sight that’s pure magic. Here’s the full scoop from my dinner with four others.
Ambiance and Qutab Minar View
The main draw of Dramz is its unbeatable location. Sitting on the rooftop, facing Qutab Minar, you feel like you’re dining with history (check my pics and video!). But here’s the catch: you only get this view from the outdoor rooftop seats, so book ahead! Winters are the best time to visit, as Delhi’s summer heat can make outdoor dining uncomfortable, even with their sprinkler fans trying to cool things down. For the ultimate experience, arrive just after evening—Qutab Minar is beautifully lit until 9:15–9:30 PM. Miss that window, and you’ll lose the spectacular glow. If you tire of the view, head to the ground floor for live ghazals and performances, which add a lively vibe to the indoor seating area. The overall ambiance is decent but not luxurious—think cozy with a touch of charm.
Food Quality We ordered a special pizza, garlic and cheese bread, and pasta (see my pics!). The garlic and cheese bread stole the show—crisp, cheesy, and packed with garlicky goodness, it was hands-down my favorite. The pizza was flavorful, with a unique twist that made it stand out, though it didn’t quite match the bread’s wow factor. The pasta was solid but not memorable. Overall, the food was tasty, but the garlic and cheese bread is what I’d come back for.
Seating and Comfort The seating, especially outdoors, is manageable but not the comfiest. The rooftop chairs could use more cushioning for long meals, but the view makes up for it. Indoor seating on the ground floor feels cozier, especially if you’re there for the live music.
Service The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and quick despite the busy evening. The staff made our group of five feel welcome, and their efficiency added to the pleasant experience.
Facilities Washrooms: Available on the ground floor (a single unisex one) and first floor, clean but basic.
Parking: Convenient valet parking is offered, a big plus in the crowded Qutab Minar area.
Accessibility: The rooftop requires climbing stairs, which might be tough for some. I didn’t notice a lift, so check with the restaurant if mobility is a concern.
Cost Dramz isn’t budget-friendly. For our group of five, without a full-course dinner (just appetizers and mains), the bill came to ₹1,300 per head (total ~₹6,500). It’s on the pricier side for the portion sizes, but the unique location and view justify it for a special outing.
Overall Dramz is a gem for its jaw-dropping Qutab Minar view, especially from the rooftop in winter evenings when the monument glows. The garlic and cheese bread was a highlight, with the pizza and pasta holding their own. Service is fabulous, but seating comfort and ambiance could be a tad better. The high cost and limited washroom setup are drawbacks, but the live ghazals and valet parking add charm. If you’re planning a special dinner with a view, hit Dramz just after sunset—but book early for those...
Read moreA luxurious set up with a breathtaking view was a distant dream in Delhi till I discovered Dramz at Mehrauli. With interiors designed in an old English/Scottish cottage home style theme, it offers both traditional and contemporary touch. A Sunday Brunch is what we went for and was amazed to see the luxurious restaurant spread across four stores with a view of Qutub Minar! A different theme across each floor and a DJ console was also a big highlight. Emperor lounge captures in its true essence the classic and timeless nature of royalty and traditions. The other floors were The Imperial café and Machan while the basement was Dungeon Cafe. One could choose between the outside seating and the plush indoor seating making the best for everyone. The menu boasted of a wide variety spread across different sections from salad, Indian street food, Appetizers (Vegetarian and Non vegetarian), choice of pizza and pasta followed by mains and desserts. The Salad Counter was neatly laid and looked tempting. An assortment of salads ranging from Tabbouleh salad, Multigrain salad, Brussels Sprout Salad, Labaneh, Pork Sausage, Roasted Beet Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad to Garden Green Chicken Salad! A great fresh start to the Sunday I must say! Next was time for one of my favourites - Indian Street Food! I chose Palak Patta Chaat! The right crispness of palak patta topped with dips was yumm!
Time for appetizers! We started with Vegetable Garden Skewer. A combination of broccoli, baby corn, mushroom, trio bell pepper and zucchini neatly skewed on a skewer was just amazing. Mushroom Croquets was crisp outside and moist inside. I just loved it even when I am not too fond of mushrooms. The Malaysian Chicken Satay was nicely presented because of which it looked really appetizing, though it felt a little dry! I also liked the Chilly Basil Fish which had a great marination and was cooked really well along with bell peppers and onion. How can the Sunday brunch be complete without some yummy drinks! So for mocktails we chose Watermelon Splash, Dramz Cooler and Apple & Kiwi Delight. My favourite was Watermelon Splash with dices of watermelon, fresh mint leaves, lemon juice and soda which made it a true refresher! The pizza of the day was Gourmet Pizza. The thin crust pizza was topped with fresh veggies like Trio bell pepper, black olives, onions and was crisp, yummy and had a great taste. The mains were spread across Baked Vegetables, Spinach Corn Stroganoff, Pasta, Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Fish. The Red Sauce Pasta was presented in an interesting manner and tasted so scrumptious. Yummy muffins and macarons made for great desserts! The restaurant known for effortless blend of unique heritage, sheer luxury and style is a must visit for people who want to appreciate food...
Read moreI'm a person who hardly writes any bad reviews or comment for anyone or place because I feel everyone works hard on their own we are no one to comment upon, but I think it was truly a worst case that I've experienced in my entire life in this so called fancy and overhyped restaurant the dramz and zanzi. My work is as such I used to travel different places in India and outside of India. Talking about India I've been to Taj, Aerocity, and other facny restaurants and lounges for my time but I've never been treated like this bad anywhere that made be feel so bad that I cried even. Yesterday I booked a table and went there with my partner to spend some time together but they denied to let us go inside by judging on our outfits😄 like if someone doesn't like to wear revealing fancy clothes and want to go in her comfortable outfit then you're a low class person or a untouchable who is not allowed to enter this fancy restaurant who has nothing to do with customer service and treatment. No matter if you're capable of paying 10x of your bill, if you're not looking fancy you're low class unaffordable...you can't enter. Over and above the so called senior at the gate Ms. Priyanka being a lady herself was so rude and disrespectful towards me and my partner as if some bhikhari has come to their gate of high class bangalow. All the staff was shouting on us that we are not allowed to enter because we're wearing flat sandles that they said in chappals you're not allowed 😂 first of all go and learn the difference between a chappal and a other footwear. Later when they got to realise it they have spoken a lot wrong to us they got ready to "allow us" that too in the lower floor😂 no one was apologetic, no one felt shame this was the sadest part. Let's say even though if someone is coming in that casual also what's the problem....What if they don't want to wear fancy reveling dress, what if they are coming from other hectic day, what if they are just meeting after years, lot of things are there... This is so Funny and very sad and disrespectful towards other people out there. Bunch of Racists who disrespects and exploits customer. People and places like that are curse for society and should be shut by law in the case of racism, exploitation of basic rights and creating bad impact on society. Customer is customer learn that. If you really want to earn the class be respectful.
I'm a strong believer of karma for sure you will get your thing God is watching you.
Dear owner of you're watching this please be ready, because for sure I'm going to file a petition against this behaviour of the restaurant people and your high class policy.
And who so ever is reading my review if you're really a person please boycott these places who is just giving disparity to...
