During our school days at Don Boscos, Sartaj held a special place in our memories. Situated near Don Bosco Panjim, just opposite the Mother Theresa Home, this spot triggers vivid recollections of our post-basketball tournament refreshment meals. Renowned for its timeless bottled Nimbu Soda and delectable chicken Biryani, Sartaj stands out as one of the most budget-friendly places in the city.

On my recent visit, which happened after almost a decade, I decided to try their chicken biryani, and I must say, it lived up to expectations. The Biryani was alright, not the worst and not the best, decent is the best word for it. The Lepo thali was good. They gave 2 big lepos and when ordered extra rice they give fish curry and fried fish, in my case it felt like it was modso or chanak.
