My husband and I have a Meghavi membership and we have been patrons for the last 5-6 years. We have always gone to the spa near lanco hills. But, on the last two occasions we found that their steam was not working so yesterday we opted to visit the Gachibowli center above Vijaya Diagnostics, opp the Nissan showroom. It was the most pathetic experience for the following reasons:-
a. Despite telling the reception desk that we wanted stretching for my husband, his therapist did not provide optimal service. Additionally the therapist was 10 minutes late and still finished the session on time.
b. The therapist assigned to me could barely understand me. I told her to focus on my upper back which was stiff and told her to skip the front upper body massage (I was specific in telling her to omit the head, face and chest) and instead use that time to massage my back. God only knows what she understood because she skipped the front massage altogether!! She kept repeatedly massaging my neck and at least for 5-8 minutes and I had to literally tell her to stop because she was hurting me. The same thing was repeated with my upper arm. She kept massaging the portion where the muscle was strained even after I asked her to be gentle there.
Honestly speaking, I got the distinct impression that the therapist was least interested in the service. There were instances wherein she was rubbing the same sore spot again and again or using only one hand for the service. Additionally, even though we had asked for steam, it was not offered to me. I was only offered a bath space.
c) Almost an hour into the service I could hear the spa staff talking loudly outside the room. Possibly, I am mistaken here in thinking that a spa is a place where we go for relaxation! This experience was anything but!!
d) after I finished my service and was waiting at the reception, I heard the spa staff being addressed by the center mgr - in loud tones. Possibly, it was too much for them to walk into a room at the back to conduct their internal meeting? What I heard left me shocked!! The spa mgr was telling her staff that it was almost 1 pm and yet none of the spa rooms were ready for guests. As per her, the sheets needed to be changed and the rooms had not been cleaned at all. I wonder what bed was given to me or my husband?
As a regular customer, I am sorely disappointed at the customer service that we received. Customer service is not only about welcoming the customer with a smile, it is also about how you handle your customer. I will not be returning to this center and if this is any indication of how Meghavi is progressing then not just me but many patrons will have to look for other spa chains.
Minor things like - low pressure in showers, broken toiletry bottles, stream not being optimal, etc we can overlook. But, after paying so much money upfront, if the massage is not up to the mark or we get saddled with therapists who are least interested in their work, then it is very...
Read moreSpa centers are meant for relaxation but it is not so at Meghavi here at Gachibowli . Very unfortunate that they will pitch for taking membership and in return give ZERO wellness experience. This is the second time I have complaints. I come from a hospitality background and for sure you have very low standards at your center in terms of Cleanliness, front office and providing WELLNESS experience to your customers. Your spa spaces are unhygienic. Especially the steam room. You give bathrobes upon asking and that too without the robe. On asking your masseuse tells you she could not find any. 3.Your masseuse assumes that you will not take steam and then you have to wait for another 15 mins for the steam to work as it is super slow. So the lady executive at the front office asks you to check your room yourself as you complained for the same in the last session. I understand it is the responsibility of the spa in charge to keep the rooms presentable and hygienic always. I will not supervise the same. This particular executive of yours is so loud that all you could hear during the spa session is her voice ( WING B) . Giggling, talking loud on phone to customers and fellow colleagues. Also not to forget that all their phones were on top speakers. No feedback form once the member is done with the service and coming to reception. Because, you already know that I have so many feedbacks to give. Charcoal massage -not worth it . Waste of money/membership hours. I think you provide the worst of your services to your members because they have already paid. You provide small rooms.
My experience was just not worth it!! Waste of money...
Read moreNice spa, it has very good potential but unfortunately, they messed it up – atleast on my 1st and only visit. I had got a coupon for use at Meghavi Spa, so I went there with my spouse to check it out. The ambience is nice, and cozy but the Asst Mgr (Adam) at the reception was not very customer friendly. He sounded conceited/rude as she took a verrrrry long time to scrutinize the discount coupon that I gave – as if he was trying to prove that the coupon was a fake one and I might have create it at home. Ridiculous. Other staff was okay but they were all trying VERY hard to make you spend more by showing how their offer is a really good deal. I don’t like this kind of hard selling. Now coming to the spa massage experience. It was good. I went for a deep tissue massage and the masseuse did a very good job on me. But unfortunately they didn’t do the same to my spouse. Since my masseuse was fast towards the end of the massage, the other masseuse also skipped or shortened some steps and close the massage early. I didn’t like that part. If 2 people are getting the same massage, I think both should be same in duration and quality. Is that thought wrong? Anyways, since I am sharing the low-quality customer service by Adam, let me also share the good-quality service by the masseuse (Tanchi & Sapna) who did a good job (at least for the 1st half of the massage)… ! 2nd half could have been better than what it was, in that case, the entire experience would be...
