What better than Dhaba for a real North Indian style treat! We recently visited their outlet in Connaught Place and the decor and ambience is so lively and colorful that it just lights up your mood and heart. I got a personalized welcome with my table mentioning 'Ms Arora', it was such a sweet gesture. The interiors gave a lovely dhaba feel with truck pictures and other props around. We tried an array of dishes from starters, main course and desserts. Difficult to choose what to try in starters we ordered before Veg and Non Veg Platter which had a yummy assortment. We enjoyed everything from Achaari Soya Chaap, Veg Galouti, Lal Mirch ka Paneer Tikka, Dhaba da Paneer Tikka, Palak Paneer ki Seekh, Galouti Kebab, Mutton Seekh, Murgh Malai Tikka, Highway Chicken Tikka and Amritsari Machhi. Loved everything! For Mocktails we tried Anarkali, Shikanji, Aam Panna, Banta Cola. No one can beat the taste of Anarkali. That's my recommendation for sure! Coming to the main course, our choice was Murgh Makhni, Aloo Gobhi, Dal Dhaba, Jeera Rice and Tiffin Paneer. My recommendation would be Tiffin Paneer which won my heart with its taste and flavour.  Roomali, Tandoori & Naan along with Boondi and Mix Veg Raita made our dinner even more yummy. For desserts it was Phirni, Matka Kulfi and Ras Malai which we relished and can't forget the yummy paan which were presented so tastefully and was just amazing. Be it kids and the old and the young it's a place for all to come and enjoy eating and relishing the yum food made and served with lots of love. Not for one minute the energy dies down in this place as it is so so lovely and a cheerful place to eat and when you go out your heart is fully satisfied with the ambience, hospitality and service and most important the smile on everybody's faces which brings another joy and adds to the magic of this place situated in the heart of CP. Come here for a taste of Punjab with laughter, bursts and foodies who come together for the love of food and for the love for best things and taste in life the king size way.

If you're seeking a taste of Punjab in the heart of Delhi's bustling Connaught Place, look no further than DHABA restaurant. This establishment boasts a unique ambiance that transports diners to the rustic charm of a roadside eatery, with three distinct sections each exuding its own theme, creating an eclectic yet inviting atmosphere. Now, let's delve into the dining experience. While the weekend crowd may test your patience with a wait for seating and slow service, a weekday visit promises a more relaxed ambiance and quicker service. Despite occasional delays, the food ultimately delivers on flavor, with generous portions ensuring your appetite is more than satisfied. Non-vegetarian curries and freshly baked breads stand out as highlights, meeting the mark of authenticity and taste. The menu features Punjabi classics alongside modern twists, with dishes like dal makhani shining as stars of the show. However, while the food is undeniably enjoyable, it may not leave a lasting impression as an exceptional culinary experience. Yet, the ambiance, presentation, and courteous staff elevate the overall dining experience, making it a worthwhile visit, if not a frequent haunt. Moreover, for those looking to unwind with a drink, DHABA offers a selection of alcoholic beverages, adding to the conviviality of the setting. Plus, with the added incentive of Paytm offers on food bills, indulging in a Punjabi feast becomes even more enticing. In conclusion, DHABA at Connaught Place is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. While it may not boast a standout specialty dish, its charming ambiance, hearty portions, and hospitable service make it a destination worth exploring at least once. So, whether you're craving a taste of home or simply seeking a culinary adventure, DHABA promises a journey through Punjab's flavors amidst the bustling streets of Delhi. We had quite an unpleasant experience at Dhaba CP. I went there with my husband and two adult children last week. I am suffering with oral lichen planus which means I can’t eat a single flake of chilies in my food and I knew that they might not serve me anything with zero chilies. But I still asked the person who came to take our order (and he looked quite a senior employee there) if it will be possible for me to get something without any chillies at all. I asked because just a few days ago in Vadodara at a famous Gujarati thali place they got 4 items with no chillies cooked for me in 5 mins flat, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. This person immediately and very readily said yes you will get dal tadka without any chillies and also butter paneer. I again asked if he was sure and he confirmed, I insisted again that it had to be without any chillies at all and he said yes madam it will be done easily. I happily ordered those things and my family ordered other stuff as they were not interested in these two items. When the food came after about half an hour wait, I tasted the dal and it was super spicy and burnt my mouth badly. When I complained he took it back to get another one. In the meantime I saw the butter paneer which clearly showed how much chillie powder was there in that dish. When asked, he again took that back in the kitchen and came back with the same plate saying very rudely “this can’t be less spicy! “ Then the second time dal tadka came and it looked without chilies but when eaten I again got my mouth burnt as it had green chilies. I complained but nothing was done so I ordered pineapple raita in which pineapple was smelling of the metal and I used just the sweet curd part to be able to have one roti with it. From the sabzi I took out a couple of paneer pieces, wiped them completely with tissue paper and ate them. At the end when we asked him to get the bill he very smilingly and courteously brought a small tray of pan saying please have dhaba special meetha pan. We took three completely assuming that it’s a complimentary offering which many places do because of the way it was offered. But when the bill came the pans were charged for rs 70 each! Generally when something like a pan etc is on payment basis you are asked if you would like to have it and not offered straightaway like this. And they had the audacity of charging for both the dal and paneer which was totally against their false promise! I have had good experience of dhaba in Mall of India but the cp one left very bad taste in my mouth where after all this there was not even a single word of apology extended by the...

Dear Team,

I’m writing to share my recent disappointing experience at your CP Dhaba outlet in New Delhi. I visited the restaurant with my family and ordered two Hoegaarden beer pints, which were priced at ₹799. However, my sister-in-law didn’t enjoy the taste, so I politely requested Mr. Vipin Joshi to replace one of the bottles with a Corona. Unfortunately, he declined the request outright, citing package policies and rules.

While I understand that establishments have policies, I was surprised by the lack of flexibility and, more importantly, the dismissive attitude shown in front of my family. The manner in which the situation was handled left me feeling embarrassed, and it soured the overall experience for everyone at the table. What was supposed to be a pleasant evening turned into a disappointing one, even leading to discomfort and arguments on our way home.

I wasn’t asking for a complimentary item — I even offered to pay the full price of the Corona or keep the billing for the Hoegaarden. The way the request was handled lacked basic customer empathy and courtesy.

As a concerned citizen and customer, I also noted that we were charged 25% tax on the liquor bill, and I intend to have the invoices reviewed by the appropriate authorities, including Income Tax, GST, and Food Quality departments. I have friends in these sectors who can help initiate a fair review. Please understand that this is not a threat — it is simply a reflection of how seriously I take this matter after being treated so poorly.

I hope your management takes this feedback constructively and uses it as an opportunity to train staff on customer interaction and service flexibility. Every customer deserves to be heard and treated with respect, regardless of their status or background.

Pathetic custome service even when u am paying so much, came with my family and the manager Vipin Joshi was not helpful and unable to understand the customer needs.
