Read moreWe went to this place on Nov 24, 2 persons.
Firstly, we asked them if they accepted international cards since it seems that not everyone in India accepted card payments in this day and age. We were visiting from Europe, and we let the waiters know.
As we noticed, the ambience was very nice, and since I am a Marvel fan, I really appreciate the decoration. The food came a bit late, but that was not an issue at first. While we were eating, we ordered a shisha, which was more expensive than what I am used to paying. Even so, the shisha was good, and we decided to order another one. It took too much time before the second one came at a point we were thinking of cancelling the order. After a night of eating, drinking, and smoking, we decided to leave.
The waiter stopped us and asked us if we would like some 'free' shots. I was with a local, so they were communicating in Hindi. Little did we know we were being scammed. After a few shots, the waiter demanded that we have to pay for the 'free' shots, which we did and left.
The total amount that we paid for 5 drinks, 2 shisha, 2 main dishes, and 4 'free' shots was more than 11000 RS The shots alone were 3200 RS.
The food was good but my advice is to go to the place for the ambience but don't accept any 'free' drinks. Keep the ordering to a minimum if you don't want to be scammed. It's a shame because I wanted to give a good review...

I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience truly deserves one.
I had visited the Open House Cafe - CP with certain expectations, especially since they had advertised a specific singer for the evening. Unfortunately, the promised artist didn’t show up, and someone else performed instead. It might not seem like a big deal to some but for those of us who came specifically for the music, it was a letdown. The vibe I was hoping for just wasn’t there.
What bothered me even more was the treatment of two young singers who performed that evening. They sang beautifully and gave their best, but I noticed that they had to wait endlessly for just some food and drinks that were clearly promised to them after the performance. The staff deliberately kept them waiting, and these young boys—who were clearly well-mannered and dignified—chose to quietly leave instead of creating a scene. It was disheartening to watch. I lost my appetite too. Respect and hospitality should be the bare minimum, especially for performers contributing to your ambiance.
This experience has left a bad taste. I hope the management takes note and works on honoring their word and treating their guests and artists better. But I will not visit again and will share this with many I know, who probably...
