very new place in the heart of the city parallel to semmozhi poong.. the landscaping is amazing here... best place for photoshoots.. they charge about 20/- per head for adults, for still photoshoot its 2000/- and for video its 4000/- . parking is also available at reasonable charges.... the park has some very good spots. the pergola pathway is my favorite here.. there is a kids play area which has slides, swings, see-saw. an old age gym is also there.. the park is still under construction at some places but that will be done very soon... a small lake inside... other side of the park is under some litigation issue but once that it also resolved it will be really super... full of cool breeze, birds chirping, butterflies, insects, frogs, toads, mongoose, squirrels... this is a very good place for toddlers to explore and have fun... do visit if u pass by this place... the place has restroom with no mirror.... an ordinary but neat...
Read moreSenganthal Poonga (Park), located in the prime location of the city is just a month old and landscaping is currently in progress. The kids play area is fully functional. The park is so huge that you can have a relaxed walking around the park enjoying the serene beauty of the park.
It's my long wish to see the Senkanthal malar for many years and I went to this park in search of the flower. The silver lining is that there are plenty of Senkanthal saplings currently planted and we have wait till next Nov (Kaarthigai) to see the rare species.
Lots of other floral saplings are being planted now and we've to wait for them to blossom in the coming season
Go to this park with your family and you'll have a nice time.

Read moreThe garden is beautifully maintained, with plants available for sale at the entrance itself. Decorated with luscious green arches and trellis, it is truly magical to walk through. If you're an ardent nature lover who is on the lookout for butterflies, mushrooms, all sorts of tiny creatures and birds, welcome to this place. For a very small fee of entry, you get to witness a plethora of biodiversity inside here. There was a tree full of hanging bats in broad daylight. Butterflies were hovering around in clusters. There are lots of places where you can just sit down and be in awe.
(The mosquitoes are vicious & won't let you be in peace so do use some sort of mild mosquito repellent just to be on...
