Read moreVery nice spot to go for a swim. A must visit if you come to Galway. When the tide comes in you can jump from the pier high tower into the Atlantic.there is a cold public shower which most people use, however, If you want a little luxury after you cold Atlantic swim, there is warm showers near changing area which costs 20 cents. I recommend going for a swim, grabbing a warm drink and walking the prom.just take in the scenery :-) Ps. You may see jellyfish in the sea in summer. If they are small to medium size but transparent, they are not poisonous. If they are darker, be a bit more cautious. Lions mane jellies are known to float in the area in summer.
