We joined the restaurant for our business dinner. Apart from our group, it was another group nearby, one couple and 2 other guests. So it was practically empty. Therefore it was just a waiter to look after all the floor. The interior and seating area looks very fashonable and I liked the details. Very comfy chairs too. I ordered the soup of the day which was tasty and came with soda bread and a selection of butter. The problem was the main course. I ordered the catch of the day, which was fish and chips. Both were tepid, not hot like you get straight from the kitchen, which I assume the plate was left on the kitchen counter to cool down maybe waiting for the other orders. Chips were not crispy outside but soggy, like when you eat them after a while. Although the dish presentation was very good but the food unfortunately not. So after few bites I was not enjoying the tasting experience so I left my food on the plate. The waiter was friendly.

Perfect dinner for a warm end of a sunny day! My husband enjoyed the Wild Cod and I ordered the King Prawn with Gnocchi and a glass of Pinot Grigio. The restaurant is part of the Salthill Hotel, strategically located right across the street from the beach. The perfect night was capped by a sunset stroll watching the kids diving off the platform and golfers trying not to lose their cool! Lovely time!

Lovely restaurant and spectacular views of galway bay but we ate the set menu in prom restaurant no offer of al a carte menu very poor standard of food. Was hugely disappointed in quality and taste of food. Short ribs were bland and tastled of water not what i expected cold carrot puree had no place on plate no seasoning on meat or potatoes. Vegetables rock hard and raw. Dessert was obviously a bought in reheated in microwave brownie water offered had a dreadful taste and was served in dirty water bottle. Veg rock hard inedible. We all left food behind. Some staff friendly one in particular was pure rude obviously in wrong profession. Not felt welcomed or menu explained. No consistency in services different waiter every time. Very poor food quality especially for Galway. Bar staff very friendly and welcoming but would never eat in...

We made a booking a week in advance for 4 adults and 3 children. When we arrived, we were told there was no reservation under our name. After getting a table and ordering, we waited about 40 minutes before asking about our order. We spoke with the manager and he said we had not placed an order and he suggested we order something "quick" and suggested a pizza. We had the same problem with ordering drinks. Service was very scattered and unorganised, I was not happy it was obvious that the staff has no experience. I will not...
