Great spot to help get started on sea dips. Always lovely people there and love the Jungle hut for a coffee, hot chocolate or ice cream afterwards. Just be aware of the stones on the right. It's fine in the tide is fully in or out but hard on the feet in between. I wear swim shoes. I keep to the left rocks when the tide is in between or go to the next beach for shelter if it's very choppy.

It's always a favourite place to go, especially when it isn't jam-packed e.g. on a sunny day in summer. Our 6 year-old had a blast building a sandcastle before sunset this evening. It's the closest beach to the car park as well, so it's pretty convenient for us locals 🙂

Queit (if you go early morning) and peaceful beach. We enjoyed the morning coffee and hot chocolates 🍫 😋 The area is cold even on a summer morning, so make sure to bring a cap or scarf. The beach is stoney and need to watch out! Enjoyed our morning there.

A basic but practical changing facility, a shower to wash off the sand before going back to car, public toilets, handy if you have kids with you, a small beach cafe to get a hot drink after a dip in the sea
