Great discovery. We had a salad each with a bread basket and extra olives. One caprese and one breaded goats cheese with wallnuts, pureed beetroot and honey. Both were absolutely divine. We had one fruity prosecco and one rose which I handed back as it arrived quite flat. This was quickly taken care of and I had a pinot grigio instead which was lovely and crisp. So I was very happy with that. Everything here is very fresh from what I could see and pizzas being picked up on a regular basis. If you love good Italian then this is a great place. Flavoursome food, great presentation, good staff and good wine await. 😁

What a wonderful place, great service and delicious food. We went for lunch with young kids and it was just spot on. Some games for entertaining the kids, and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with some dietary restriction suggestions. Top notch.

Very busy pizza restaurant by the water front. Pizza is on the doughy side. The white Romana pizza is on the blend side. Vegetable soup and lamb ragu were decent. Overall just another pizza restaurant.

Magnetti's, the charming Italian restaurant nestled in the heart of Salthill, Co. Galway, truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to the warm and inviting ambiance of Italy, thanks to the friendly welcome extended by the staff.

The food at Magnetti's is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish embodies the essence of Italian culinary tradition, boasting flavors that transport your taste buds to the streets of Rome.

The menu is a delight for any Italian food enthusiast. Personally, I couldn't resist the classic Margherita with Bufalo Mozzarella and Prosciutto di Parma and it was nothing short of sensational.

However, the true standout at Magnetti's is the exceptional service. The staff members are not only knowledgeable about the menu but also possess an innate passion for their craft. Their genuine enthusiasm shines through in every interaction, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. From recommendations on food and wine pairings to accommodating dietary restrictions, they go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is truly memorable.

Another aspect worth noting is the attention to detail in creating a cozy and authentic Italian atmosphere. The rustic décor, soft lighting, and comfortable seating arrangements transport you to an Italian trattoria, setting the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey. Whether you're enjoying a romantic evening for two or a lively gathering with friends, Magnetti's ambiance sets the perfect backdrop.

To top it all off, the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the host Virginia. In conclusion, Magnetti's in Salthill, Co. Galway, is an absolute gem for anyone seeking an authentic Italian experience. The exceptional food, impeccable service, and warm ambiance combine to create an evening filled with unforgettable flavors and cherished memories. I wholeheartedly recommend Magnetti's to locals and visitors alike, as it truly stands out as a beacon of Italian culinary...

Was greeted upon arrival by friendly host but he left the restaurant shortly afterwards and it was downhill from there onwards. I imagine we unfortunately had an inexperienced and untrained waitress. Same stood behind the cash register which was about 5 feet from food prep area massaging her long greasy hair, gave her scalp a good scratch, without washing her hands she then picked up our starter plates from the kitchen and promptly brought them to the wrong table.Later, the plates were cleared and same waitress came back to the table and asked "are you ready to order" we explained we previously had ordered from her good self and were awaiting our main courses. While waiting I observed a 2nd waitress standing behind the register (again about 5ft from food prep area)blow her nose on blue kitchen paper, bin it then pick up 2 dishes without washing her hands and serve them to the couple at the next table. Meanwhile the chef was browsing through his phone and as the place fell apart the 2 waitresses and the cashier/bar person had a great chat and laugh with their backs to the restaurant while we along with the rest of the patrons waited for service. Our empty plates were sitting in front of us for 20 minutes, when we eventually caught the eye of 1 of the staff we asked for the bill and was then asked if we wanted coffees,we declined as we didn't have a spare hour. The bill was wrong (it was minus the 2 main courses) we pointed same out, the revised bill was produced, we were asked would we like receipts and we said yes, the receipt roll had red lines indicating it was running out, and of course it did run out...

When you order food and a bottle of wine for six people .it takes about 25 minutes for the food to arrive After the food is served and the dust settles, it is clear that two items that we had ordered had not arrived. The waiter who served said nothing about the absent items. I presumed that the missing dish and the bootle of wine were on the way. I waited for 5 minutes 10 passed and after 15 minutes I went to seek the missing items. The guy minding the register was pleasant and checked our order. After checking, he announced that we did not have my main course and the bottle of wine on our order. I consulted with my fellow diners who confirmed the ordering the wine and the missing main course.

So what happened? Simply, the waiter was not from an English speaking country and did not understand the accents . Even though he read our order back to us when odering it didn't translate correctly to his note book.

This was a failure by the owners of the business to ensure proper systems are in place to make sure orders are correct. Staff did not seem to get the idea that the customer is more important than standing around chatting. Management fault again.. train your staff... and give them supervision and feed back. In the distant past, one of my roles was to train staff for work in hotels, bars, and restaurants. When staff got used to it, they loved it. Why? Simple.. their tips more than doubled. So I will come back , the food is good but will people still be coming if service is like this.

What do...
