Il James Joyce Bridge è un ponte sul Liffey progettato dal noto architetto iberico Santiago Calatrava. Sorge in un tratto fluviale cittadino nelle adiacenze della fabbrica della Guinness e riproduce in versione stilizzata un'arpa come il celebre logo della fabbrica irlandese: è infatti costituito di due archi d'acciaio in mezzo ai quali passa un ponte stradale e due tratti pedonali dotati di sedute per i passanti, legati agli archi sovrastante da cavi metallici che simulano appunto le corde dell'area. Molto carino da vedere, unisce praticità ed estetica come quasi sempre succede nelle creazioni di Calatrava.

This striking bridge was designed by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava who is also responsible for the Samuel Beckett Bridge here in Dublin, the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in Dallas. The James Joyce Bridge opened in 2003 and spans the River Liffey.

Eine sehr moderne Brücke, die der Aufwertung dieses Stadtteils zuträglichsein sollte, 2003 eröffnet. Das Brückendeck ist mit Stäben aus Stahl an zwei 6,5 m hohen, schräg nach außen geneigten, Stahlrohrbögen aufgehängt. Über die 42 m lange Brücke führen vier Fahrspuren für Kfz. Außerhalb der Bögen verlaufen auf beiden Seiten Fußgängerstege. Durch das auf beiden Seiten zum Fluss hin gebogen verlaufende Brückendeck variiert die Breite der Fußgängerstege von drei Meter beim Brückenkopf bis sieben Meter in der Mitte der Brücke. Geländer aus Glas ermöglichen einen freien Blick auf den Fluss. Der Gehweg ist in lichtdurchlässigen Glasplatten ausgeführt, die nachts beleuchtet sind.
