Palace Merano — Attraction in Burggrafenamt - Burgraviato

I needed to de-stress and ...detox. I was late in booking my stay, hesitating between such centers in Germany (Buchinger), Austria (Vivamayr) and Spain (SHA) which all, including Palace Merano were recommended by friends who experienced these wellness centers.||||First, the town of Merano: Very beautiful, with a lot of history, places to visit and great shopping. I was truly amazed. It is only 10 minutes walk from the Palace, so, if you get bored, a walk to the town center is what you need.||||The hotel, built in 1906, which was renovated few years ago, has a lot of Belle Epoque charm, quite grandiose. The SPA, massage area, is pristine and decorated with good taste (more minimalist than the hotel lobby, restaurant ad the rooms. The medical center on the 5th floor is the latest part to have been revamped: clean, fresh, stunning.||||I was on a detox program for 6 days (mid of august 2019, and even if two days was hard (only a clear consommé for lunch and dinner), I have to say that the food is very tasty, beautifully presented, though the portion are small which you get used to after few days. ||||The whole staff is very courteous, very helpful and what I appreciated is that they do not push you to take unnecessary extra treatments. The medical staff is quite professional: have a complete blood test. I found that I had food intolerance (not allergy) that I was not aware. Overall, I have lost a bit more than 4kgs and lost one size. But overall, you feel energized after few days (first two days might be a bit hard though. ||||I met few people that went to the other detox centers that I mention above. From their experience, they would rate Merano on top of the list. ||||...and if you go there alone, take some good books with you and if you have a car, do not hesitate to explore the beautiful roads around Meltina (about 20 km away). The town of Merano Italy nestled in the Alps is the magnificent setting for the rare, elegant jewel that is Space Henri Chenot. I came to the spa after years of unhealthy habits that resulted in my being overweight and feeling discouraged. From the moment I entered the world of Henri Chenot I felt lighter and taken care of by an extremely conscientious , knowledgable and capable staff .The entire facility is meticulously supervised under the watchful eye of the ever present and eternally elegant Madame Chenot. It is plainly evident that she practices exactly what she preaches. The hotel is a grand hotel in the old European style. The rooms are elegant , immaculately maintained , spacious and extremely comfortable. It's very hard to make food taste great without it being calorie laden but somehow the chef nailed it very time. I stayed for 13 days and NEVER once had a meal that was less than spectacular (all while being densely nutritious). The treatments are bar none the very best treatments I have ever had. The detox program includes both a daily seaweed and collagen wrap, a massage that targets energy flow and meridians, and Eastern based energy work. I did guided Nordic walking every day as well. The medical staff thoughtfully goes through all test results and tapers your plan to meet your individual needs. I couldn't make a higher recommendation for a spa if I tried. Henri Chenot...
