Castro è una vera perla del Salento. Piccola cittadina arroccata su un monte con tanto di castello ed un piccolo centro storico dove fare una breve passeggiata e da cui si gode una vista dall'alto spettacolare del mare e della costa. Ai piedi di castro si apre castro marina dotata di un porticciolo turistico adatto ad imbarcazioni non molto grandi e non particolarmente grande da ospitare un gran numero di barche.
