Hotel Ristorante Panoramico — Restaurant in Castro

Make sure if you ever stay in the beautiful white stone house idyllic City Castro to go to Panoramico for lunch or dinner. Daytime the view is fabolouse with crystal clear and turquoise water to rest your eyes on while waiting for your food. At night the darkness will be a little unfair and you will not get the same panoramic effect but since it's hot as he'll in Castro summertime you as we did might prefer to go there when the worst heat gets a little more easy to survive (36 Celsius daily whole week during our visit and that's tough) . Anyways do not get confused buy the take away plastic plate diner that lies in your way from finding this white linen restaurant a little hidden after you walked down stairs and passed the garden outside the hotel. It won't look like the restaurant has an outside dining area but it has! Just ask the friendly staff to guide you through the big hall we guessed are commonly used for weddings. We had oysters mussels and bruschetta to share for starters (all awesome) and the grilled fish plate, salmon shrimp pasta and risotto for main course. The grilled fish plate varies a little depending on the chefs choice so if you as one of us get a little freaked out about eating fish with the heads still on just put on the grill make sure to ask for fillets when you order. Five stars for the whole experience thanks to great food, overcoming prices, the view to stay alive for and super sweet staff with humour and a glimpse in the eye. When we came back the second time we were even offered to use the pool and relax area in the Hotell backyard which were great because of the calm and silent atmosphere compared to the beach with screaming and loud playing kids in the harbour. We sound like pensioners maybe but were a couple with two friends all between 26-40 years old and loved it! If we go back to Castro we will definitely look forward to another visit...

Today we were pleased to discover the restaurant at Hotel Panoramico. The setting is fabulous looking out over the sparkling Adriatic and our meal was superb. From the antipasti of lightly fried, just-caught calamari to the primi - one seafood pasta and the other a shrimp and salmon risotto - and finally a shared secondi of fresh fish, we were delighted with each bite. Our waiter provided excellent service and seemed genuinely pleased to be introducing us to the local food and wine. One of the BEST hotel-restaurants I have ever visited. Customer service is very good, all staff very friendly and helpful. Food in restaurant is very delicious and huge variety of alcohol. Hotel is very clean, cozy and and warm. The view of the hotel is so stunning like in a dream. Its perfect place to relax. They have hot jacuzzi outside with a mountains and lake view.
