Went to see Radiohead. The gig was great, the venue awful. The organisation was chaotic and the service dreadful. Beware, they have an insane system for buying food and drink in the arena so you have to queue for ages to buy tokens, which are the only available currency for buying food and drink for which you then have to queue for ages. The bar staff to customer ratio is pathetic and they insist on removing the tops from bottles of water so we spent two hours in what was in effect a dust storm with one beer and one open bottle of water each. Maybe this is normal in Italy, it was my first gig there and I will avoid the venue if not the beautiful country in future. I am coughing up dust...
Read moreSaw Radiohead on 14 June 2017. They were ace. Venue is rubbish. Poor public transport links. Parking is a nightmare. It's flat land so visibility is poor. Getting in was OK but exiting was not good, perhaps dangerous as no lighting at the Via Delle Cascine/Visarno exit point. They used a pay by token system - which was a joke. Minimum 15 euro spend. And they wouldn't allow water to be taken in unless the screw top was removed... Not a good venue. As for Radiohead - fab! But I do wish they'd just used normal video screens to show the band on stage (as you just couldn't see them). Instead they used a kaleidoscope effect throughout the entire...
