Cenatiempo Vini D'Ischia — Attraction in Ischia

Most wine tastings look like this: tour of vineyard, overly long tour of cantina, often also the story of how wine is made (heard at least 50 times already), 3 bottoms of (not always good) wine (to taste), then home again.

Cenatiempo, on the other hand, offers so much more: short trip along the terraces of the vineyard, with emphasis on specific ischian wine production through time, brief visit of the beautiful cantina carved in green tuff, it's mainly about the experience after all, visually in particular, then wine tasting of no less than five wines (an exception that day, I think).

Just any wines? Particularly the autochthonous, high-quality white ones were delicious, meanwhile 'snacks' (excusez, le mot) from their own land were served (the mozzarella came from the mainland, of course).

My friends and I had an absolutely sublime evening enjoying a tour and wine tasting at Cenatiempo vineyard.

To be frank the wine was some of the best we've ever had to pleasure of tasting, and the food pairings were incredible showcasing local speciality foods. There was no scrimping on the portions either as we easily ate enough for a full meal!

Federica gave as a fantastically detailed tour of the beautiful, peaceful vineyard and the mind blowing caves hand dug by the original farmers tending to the vines. Hearing the history of the vineyward was scintilating and the depth of Federica's knowledge was highly impressive.

An exceptional wine tour and wine tasting experience. We firstly walked around the vineyard which was a beautiful location with fantastic views, Federica’s knowledge and passion for the wine and vineyard shone through. We sampled 3 whites, a rose and a red and enjoyed all of them. The food pairings were also great. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere to the whole time we were there, we were definitely not rushed!
