Frantoio Rosso Ipogeo — Attraction in Martina Franca

This place is definitely worth a visit, but the attitude of the team that runs it is shameful. Their website says that visiting the oil mill is free, you have to pay for turist guide or the tasting. But when we got there, there was no one there even though it said they were open, a guy greeted us and said that visits need to be booked and that it can only be done with a guide and a tasting lasting 1 hour for next day. We were a little confused, but in the end we asked him to just we take a quick look since we drove to that place just for that. In the end, the guy charged us €5 per person, even though there were 2 adults and 1 child, I later saw that children were €3 each, and that price includes a visit with a guide. Interesting place to visit with the interesting history of making olive oil. The person who gives you a tour is also the owner and the founder of the place and you see the passion in him about it unfortunately. Ieri ho avuto l’opportunità di visitare il Frantoio Rosso Ipogeo con un gruppo di amici, e devo dire che è stata un’esperienza indimenticabile. La visita guidata ci ha portato alla scoperta di un pezzo di storia locale, con un frantoio sotterraneo ricco di fascino e di racconti. Le spiegazioni erano dettagliate e coinvolgenti, permettendoci di comprendere a fondo le antiche tecniche di produzione dell’olio d’oliva.

La vera sorpresa, però, è arrivata con la degustazione. Gli oli proposti erano di una qualità straordinaria, e ci è stato spiegato come riconoscere le diverse caratteristiche e le sfumature dei sapori. Abbiamo potuto assaporare varietà di oli accompagnati da pane fresco, il tutto in un’atmosfera accogliente e autentica.

Il personale è stato estremamente cordiale e disponibile, rendendo l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente questa visita non solo agli amanti dell’olio d’oliva, ma a chiunque desideri immergersi nella cultura e nella tradizione...
