We had been in the nice museum this week for a short preview of the exhibition "all eyes on celebreties - ritratti di ken nahoum" It´s a small, fine Exhibition on the work of photographer Ken Nahoum at the San Gimignano Civic Museum. We were lucky to be able to view the expressive portraits of world-famous stars in advance while the exhibition was being set up. (Thx to Ken, who showed us his works before the official opening) A visit to the beautiful museum "Galleria d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea" and especially the exhibition is worthwhile. If you come to San Gimignano the closest parking to the museum is Parcheggio P3 Bagnaia Superiore.

An interesting place to visit with some great artefacts. Lots of pots from archaeological digs, some put back together to show what the original would have looked like. I spent an enjoyable 30 mins there and the apothecary. Then the modern art exhibition upstairs was also of interest but I’ve been to a lot better galleries of this type.

Sono stato qui il 5/4/2025 e ho avuto una pessima esperienza Il complesso museale di santa Chiara, che si trova in via folgore, è l’unico museo con dei bagni inclusi nell’edificio e nel biglietto. Ricordatevi che se avete comprato il biglietto che include questo museo non avete bisogno di pagare per un bagno pubblico poiché è incluso e si trova qui. Il museo è veramente molto interessante e in una sala ha il punto panoramico migliore delle torri di san Gimignano. Proprio come le cartoline. Un peccato che non venga valorizzato abbastanza; il personale è svogliato e le condizioni igieniche sono pessime. C’è polvere, rifiuti e i bagni sono ricoperti da feci e urina su muri e pavimento.
