San Giminiano!!! You have to visit this little ancient village when you're in Toscany. Make sure you park your car on the three parking spots outside the village. P1 is about 700-800m from the main gate while P2 and P3 are located opposite the village. Before entering the central square , turn right and have a wonderful panoramic view of Toscany. You have to taste gelato from the world champion chef (on the left of the central square with the well of wishes). Molto bella quedta cittadina..un incanto, piena di storia ,di antichi palazzi..di porte come questa d'accesso...di bellissime torri ora, ne sono 13 ma anticamente ne erano 72..una per ogni famiglia benestante..arrivare al paese e vedere lo spettacolo delle torri è davvero emozionante e sembra di ritornare indietro nel tempo... Il centro storico è patrimonio dell'UNESCO. Il borgo viene citato già nel x secolo tra le tappe itineranti della via francigena..

Splendida cittadina medievale tipicamente Toscana, ci si arriva attraversando la magnifica campagna Toscana, ricca di storia, locali dove si può degustare cucina tipica ed ottimi vini. Negozietti con prodotti caseari, salumi di cinta senese (razza di maiali toscani, caratterizzati da una fascia di colore nero che cinge l'addome, da qui il nome)

Die Porta San Matteo ist ein wunderschönes und beeindruckendes Stadttor von San Gimignano. Es führt direkt in das Herz der Altstadt und vermittelt sofort das Gefühl, in eine andere Zeit einzutauchen. Die mittelalterliche Architektur ist gut erhalten und verleiht der Stadt ihren einzigartigen Charme. Ein perfekter Ort für Geschichts- und Kulturliebhaber sowie für tolle Fotos! Wer San Gimignano besucht, sollte sich dieses Tor unbedingt anschauen.

La Porta San Matteo è un ingresso meraviglioso e impressionante a San Gimignano. Conduce direttamente nel cuore del centro storico e dà subito l’impressione di fare un salto nel passato. Wunderschöner, wirklich sehenswerter Ort! Etwas mehr Zeit einplanen für die Parkplatzsuche und dementsprechenden längeren Spaziergang, was aber dem ganzen definitiv keinen Abbruch bringt. Der ganze Ort ist faszinierend, genauso wie die Pflanzen. Das Foltermuseum ist nichts für zarte Gemüter, dennoch interessant. Eis, Pizza und Tiramisu (Erdbeer und Pistazie hatten wir) einfach göttlich! Zum besichtigen der Burg muss man keinen Eintritt bezahlen, nur für die Museen oder dem Turm Aufstieg. Die Preise allgemein sind ok (großes Stück Pizza 3€, sehr große Kugel Eis für 3,50€) Ein schönes Erlebnis...
