7c Villas and Winery. Near Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. Fabulous zen like modern place. Our first night of a three night stay. Welcome hard tea and fruit gelatin. Wood furnishings and even a heated floor for the cooler days and nights. Excellent heating system. Rain shower. Private deep ofuro - Japanese style bath tub in your own outdoor walled off courtyard with seating are looking out on your private garden. We stayed in a Mt room (Mt. 6) but I think all the mountainside rooms would be similar. Amenities include pajamas, lounge wear, Uniqlo warm insulated rain coats (when it’s cold), rubber clogs (like crocs) to wear outside. In room modern coffee grinder and kettle. Amazing and full breakfast brought to your room. This place has its own winery. Very peaceful and relaxing here even if Mt Fuji view areas are crowded with tour buses. We highly recommend. (while most of the instructions on operating the heating and tub systems are in Japanese, you can use Google translate. Also no instructions on how to use a coffee grinder, but you can YouTube using the name of the grinder. ) Also, due to its location, we recommend having a car. They have ample free parking. Fantastic place for mature couples. (Not young party types.)

Everything started off nice. Checked in, gave us tea and fruit then got a 30min wine tour(not much of a tour) gave us 1 glass of wine each after. At night they gave us a snack with sparkling wine. Morning gorgeous breakfast in room. Free bike rentals also. Day of check out we text/emailed at 930 to have a later check out. They responded back at 11am indicating they will be charging 5k yen every 30min. Mind u we were in town with the bikes. Got back at noon and charged us 11kyen for 1extra hr which is unheard of . Plus 1 bike was low on air in 1 tire. Manager refused to speak to us telling the associate to give us a small bottle of wine and to see us off. Super unprofessional and plainly unfair. Nothing was indicated about extra charges after 11am check out when every other hotel usually gives it to u.. rooms were hot. Pillows were super uncomfortable and a crazy amount of spiders. Location is far from the city every taxi is $20 for 6min drive and they provide no shuttle. Gentlemen that checked us in and made our breakfast was super sweet though and he even didn't think that was fair. It was a nice experience until all that happened management could of down way better.

My husband and I stayed here for one night to see Mt. Fuji. From the second we arrived, we received top notch service. I left my jacket when we headed out and they were able to send it on to my next hotel, I am so grateful that they did that for me!!! The dinner and breakfast was a nice touch, it truly made the experience feel luxurious. Way too many extra amenities to list. The room was huge and modern, the bath on the back patio was awesome. Even though we weren’t there long, we managed to use it a few times. They provide bikes which we used to get to some of the nearby attractions, super convenient! We recommend taking a taxi from Kawaguchi station to get to/from the hotel if you’re taking the bus to get there. It isn’t far so it was around ¥2,000, which was worth it to us since they’ll take you up to the door of the hotel and you don’t have to wait on the bus. We would recommend 7c villa&winery to anyone considering it, you won’t regret it!

Be very careful with additional wages when checking out. I contacted the hotel by phone, email and through the third party messaging system about running late because we had issues with the bike keys and the hotel is very far from the center. Didn't receive a message back j til after the check out time which was 11:40, two hours from when I had first reached out to the hotel indicating that they would be charging me an additional 500 yen for every 30 min. Yes 500 yen per half hour!! Beyond unreasonable. This would've been alright had it been relayed beforehand or even if someone would've called or attempted to message me back but no. They intentionally waited till after 11 so that they could apply the late fee. When I asked the female receptionist why no one had attempted to reach out to and why im being charged 1100 yen for being late she simply answered that I had a discounted room. How would I have vee know that my room was discounted and furthermore why is this the reason your charging me 1100 yen. Very unprofessional. When asked to speak to a manager they came in and heard the frustration in our voices and decided it best to let the employees deal with us. All in all I would never return here. It's quite sad because the room was very spacious and the gentleman that checked us in was so nice, he even tried giving us a bottle of wine to make up for it but the whole ordeal seemed very unprofessional and it really rubbed us the wrong way. There's plenty of other hotels closer to the center that won't charge you 1000s of yens for being late. Not to mention every time you want to get back to the center of the city it an additional 1200...

The beef was a bit small by American portion size. But what’s amazing is their bento continental breakfast. It changes slightly if you stay 2 nights. We had delicious quiche one morning and a vegetable soup the next. Yogurt fruit and fresh baked bread daily. And they brought you a small bottle of wine every morning, which you can keep for the evening. |Definitely a...
