Hospitality & service - the staff were welcoming and incredibly attentive. Everyday they worked hard to accommodate me and ensure my stay was of the highest level. They collected me from the train station and brought me to the Ryokan free of charge. Throughout my stay they were helpful, for example they chased after me when I left without an umbrella because they knew it was going to rain! After my stay they looked after my bags and dropped them off at the station for me which was a blessing when you don't have a car.
Room - the rooms are pure comfort with a great view of Mt Fuji. As an only person, I stayed in the twin room on the third floor which was an excellent size (comfortable for a family of 4). I was able to complete washing and dry this in my room within a day (instead of using the available dryer). The private bathrooms are spacious and have plenty of amenities including a personal bath. In addition, there's a bath and a sauna you can book for private use which I would highly recommend.
Location - great location that is a 5 minutes walk from the lake allowing great views of the lake & Mt Fuji. Plenty of parking space as well and local amenities are all walkable.
Food - the breakfast is delicious & well sized. I would highly recommend including this in your stay. If you book at the hotel it's 2500 yen for one person but following this I have rarely needed anymore food until mid afternoon.

The entire hotel feels brand new, blending luxury with a profound sense of serenity. The food was another highlight: the chef is among the best in Mount Fuji, offering a dining experience far beyond five-star standards. Every meal, especially the traditional Japanese breakfast, was unforgettable.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the genuine care and attention to every guest. It’s a rare gem where luxury, warmth, and authenticity come together perfectly. We are already looking forward to returning to this incredible sanctuary.
Plus a magnificent view of...
Read moreThis hotel is absolutely fantastic—spotlessly clean and completely different from traditional ryokan-style onsen hotels. It’s family-run, and the staff are incredibly attentive, offering genuine one-on-one butler-like service. When we were at Mount Fuji and the weather turned bad, they even rearranged alternative activities for us. It truly felt like being cared for. The location is also convenient—right near one of the stops on the Fuji Excursion Red Line bus route, making it easy even if you don’t drive. The staff even arranged a private car to take us to the station—such a thoughtful touch!
The food here is also outstanding—especially their rice, which was the best we’ve ever had in Japan. My mom loved it so much she said we have to come back. Next time, we hope to see Mount Fuji in clear weather—it would make the experience even...
